Throwing cheap-shots is fun. I also think it can be effective in getting people to think about why they believe they things they do. Christians (for example) don't enjoy cheap-shots because it is so easy, and destructive to their personal beliefs.

An atheist debating a Christian is like a prime Mike Tyson fighting a cripple.

I always found the comparison between God and Santa Claus to be fascinating. Atheists are the 'older kids' of the world—shame we have so many 'younger kids' in this world. Believers can be very immature mentally; if you have been following the debate you will have seen this many many times. Are atheists more mature? I would say so.

I always found verses that admit of other gods fascinating and contradictory to what many believers believe. For scripture to admit of other gods shows that Christians can and should believe many (if not all) gods exist, but only worship the one "true" god (which doesn't really make sense in itself). What a strange belief system indeed. Being an atheist is so much simplier.

The religious attempt to use this argument from time to time. It is frustrating that many whom belong to obvious belief systems are unable to comprehend what a belief system is—along with how not all people belong to one. Atheism is not a belief system in which a person needs to believe in—let's say—evolution. A person can be an atheist, but believe that all animals come from the combination of lead and sulfur. While the majority of atheists see evolution as being able to address the complexity of life. This only shows how solid the concept of evolution is, and how naturally we see the truth when inhibating beliefs are nonexistant. I can't stress this enough: ATHEISM IS NOT A BELIEF SYSTEM! IT IS A LACK OF ONE.
