Richard Dawkins is a British ethologist, evolutionary biologist and popular science author. He was formerly Professor for Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He was voted Britain's leading public intellectual by readers of Prospect magazine and was named one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People" for 2007.

Dawkins came to prominence with his 1976 book "The Selfish Gene", which popularised the gene-centred view of evolution and introduced the term "meme". He is a prominent critic of creationism and intelligent design. In his 1986 book "The Blind Watchmaker", he argued against the watchmaker analogy, an argument for the existence of a supernatural creator based upon the complexity of living organisms. Instead, he described evolutionary processes as analogous to a blind watchmaker. He has since written several popular science books, and makes regular television and radio appearances, predominantly discussing these topics.

Richard Dawkins is an atheist, secular humanist, sceptic, scientific rationalist, and supporter of the Brights movement. In his 2006 book "The God Delusion", he contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that faith qualifies as a delusion − as a fixed false belief.

Richard Dawkins featured on CNN's "Out In The Open" panel, a part of Paula Zahn Now on Monday, February 12, 2007. The whole segment on atheism is about 7 minutes long. This is just the Dawkins interview portion of the segment.

I have to disagree with Richard, not all atheists care about the science (e.g., the cosmos, origin of life, evolution), or are gentile. I've met many atheists that are as ignorant about biological evolution or the universe as any Christian. I find that there are many types of atheists—none being bound to a particular 'belief system' or to any interest in science. I do find however that atheists tend to care more about the workings of the universe and the origin of life (along with its complexity) more-so than Christians (or any other believer in a god). Christians pretend to know it all, atheists know they don't.

I think that Richard Dawkins should be the new Pope, that would be epic. Raping young children is an obvious crime against humanity, the interviewer is unbelievably stupid. If the Catholics were truly 'moral', they would have removed those priests from their positions and forced them to face criminal prosecution.

Ann Coulter is such a bigot. She is so offensive it is almost refreshing. Everyone should be a 'perfected', sounds very Hitlery. If heaven is filled with people like Ann Coulter then I would much rather be in hell. Imagine spending an eternity around that c***? I would punch Jesus in the face just to escape to purgatory. People like her should make atheists very anxious—they would kill all nonbelievers in a heartbeat if they had any real power.

I think Jesus is the real anti-christ and Obama is the real one. The real Jesus would have been an atheist, anyone that disagrees loves to kick puppies.
