Anyone that uses the straw-man argument 'why don't monkeys evolve into people today?' need to ejubacate themselves about evolutionary theory. It's almost as if religious belief like that, blinds a person to reality (or any reality that contradicts it). Why do so many atheists accept evolution as the explanation for the complexity of life? Is it because atheists don't have an imaginary friend telling them they can't?

Evolution doesn't lead people towards atheism, religion leads people away from reality.

I don't believe Christine O'Donnell would be the type of person to protect Jewish people from Nazis. I think she would have been doing the opposite, given her level of faith in the "greater good"; i.e. God's will.

Homosexuality can be cured with tennis rackets? (and Ex-Gays for Congress)

If homosexuality could actually be cured (with hormone/behavioral therapy). Would any gay people even be interested in doing it? Would homosexuality be labeled as a medical/psychological problem? What a slippery slope. Homosexuality is as much of a choice as is heterosexuality.

Nobody chooses who they are attracted to. It is Christianity that is responsible for the majority of hatred towards gay people in the United States. Atheists seem to be more accepting of people in general; there are probably some atheists that hate gays, but they are about as rare as an intelligent creationist.

A Christian preaching about how nature works is like a biologist preaching about how a virgin-birth works. I do wonder how any homosexual person can be a Christian; the bible is against homosexuality—well between two men at least (and I can understand how they would view homosexuality in general as being a sins). The debate on whether homosexuality is learned or hardwired is interesting. Thus far it appears to be more nature and not so much nurture, but nurture probably plays some role. Anyways, people are what they are, and they shouldn't be hated for something that doesn't hurt anyone. Atheists seem to view the world more objectively, they don't have beliefs that get in the way of basic empathy.

Doesn't Christianity sound like a loving religion? Hate people, just what Jesus would do....right? This is the kind of mentality responsible for war and genocide. I assume he believes atheists will go to hell as well; if I go to hell, I'm taking Terry Jones down there with me.

Islam and homosexuality are partners? Since when? And why is God turning people into Muslims? Does that mean God = Allah? He says that 'Islam is of the Devil', does that also mean God and the Devil are the same guy? Perhaps a bipolar god? So many questions, so little answers...
