This is a good reflection for just how greedy and slimy companies can get, normally such scams are not done in such an obvious way. It's like me going up to a person, offering them a shoeshine for $5, then turning around the next day and asking for the remaining $10,000. Even though I may not have made clear the total amount the person would owe for the service (perhaps I said it in a whisper), it is not my responsibility to properly inform my customers of the full cost of my services. Not only that, but if I did, I would not make nearly as much money. A business model based on trying to rip people off is very common place here in America. Credit card and cell phone companies are ran by people that seem to get off by searching for ways to screw people over. Legitimate businesses seem to be going out of style, isn't the free market system great? Applying 'survival of the fittest' principles to human society will insure that only the rich get rich, and the poor die of starvation, it is evolution, it is natural...right? Strange how bible-thumping republicans love the free market system so much....well I'm done ranting, time to look up why socialism is so evil.

This shouldn't be legal, brainwashing children is wrong; obviously these children are much too young to understand the argument, but they are being taught at a young age that evolution is wrong and creationism is right. This idea is repeated several times over to get it firm and deep into their subconscious. These scumbags are destroying childrens' ability to accurately understand the world around them, and imposing their own deluded version. Being alive is a precious thing, these childrens' lives have value, they should not just be pawns in what that moron refers to as a 'spirtual war'. This is the major difference between evolution and creationism, you don't see evolution camps brainwashing children into believing we evolved, and that creationism is a fairytale. This shows the desperation of creationism, they know that the children will not be taught their lies in the classroom.

On a side note, how funny (not in a humorous sense) is it to see how inconfident those children were when they were asked about evolution, you can see that part of them is skeptical about the "God did it" theory. Many of them will unfortunately be mentally shackled by Christianity for much of their lives -- imprisoned by ideas which self-perpetuate lies through fear hellfire. Children should not be used as pawns, their minds should be free to "choose" lies over reality and reality over lies when they are capable of doing so. These children have no choice, no freedom.

Feels strange being in full agreement with Bill O'reilly. On one hand I think that Islam needs to be shown for the evil it truely is (by showing how its followers are scumbags), but on the other you don't want to make yourself too vunerable to attacks. Obviously the website that is being referred to in the video is trying to incite people to murder the South Park writers... what I don't understand is why the U.S. goverment allows this to happen. Here is a nice example of spam. For some reason my email is receiving a lot of it... Anyways a gullible person would believe that they had just gotten 19 MILLIONS DOLLARS! But a logical person would realize that this is only an attempt by some leech to screw a random person out of money. Making big promises to the gullible can be a great way to get rich. As was the theme of a previous blog post, this is exactly what many modern-day religions do. But, for some reason, spam is looked down upon, but religious-spam is revered (Mormons being one great example).

Meaning in Life?

It is often stated that if there was no god, then life has no meaning. For some reason I cannot wrap my head around why God's existence is relevant to whether or not a person's life has meaning. If there were a god, from his vantage point, we are quite insignificant (given the size of the known universe). If Christians disagree with this notion, perhaps they should go look up the definition of important. If everything and anything is important, then nothing is important, including all people.

Christians believe (or the majority seem to) that their lives are the most meaningful in the eyes of God. They get such ideas from church and from the HUMAN MADE book (the Bible). So when looking through the eyes of God the most important think you can do as a person is STOP THINKING for yourself. He gave you free will and a mind to think, he never said anything about using it. It is quite simple, listen to your priest, and read the book written 1,000s of years ago by the only MEN that God thought capable of thinking for themselves. Remember, God does not believe in evolution, he believes in de-evolution. Let me put it another way, God created man with perfection. But that perfection is showing its sign of wear.

If you read the Bible, you will see just how intelligent and PERFECT the people of the time were -- such an advanced knowledge of science and morality. I do wonder why they always talk in metaphor, metaphor so deep we still cannot grasp what it means. Give it time Christians, think hard, for this life has meaning in it. So does your Bible, otherwise your Bible is as worthless as the paper it is printed on, and your life nearly as much. What a gamble.

Have you ever seen an ad claiming that YOU HAVE WON 1 MILLION DOLLERS!? The majority of internet users have encountered them, and some for a moment thought that they had came across something amazing! The rational people read the fine print, realizing they were lied to; the gullible jump out of their chair freaking out over the illusion of being special, of being AN INSTANT WINNER. Ever hear of the old saying "if something is too good to be true, it probably is"? Well, when it comes to spam, we know just how annoying it can be: flooding our emails, causing annoying pop-ups -- it seems like it will not go away. I do believe people are free to believe that they are MILLION DOLLAR WINNERS all they wish however.

But, still, I'm not sure what is more annoying: the spam that is constantly put in our face, or the people that have also seen the same spam, but believe that they are some how special. That they were special enough to serf around on the internet, and happen to have been lucky enough to win such an obscene amount of money. Then run around telling everyone else how special, and rich they have become. They probably even know about all the scams and spam out there, but for some reason believe that their spam was different. Not everyone is a MILLION DOLLAR WINNER, and if we all believed that we were, all our computers would be full of viruses. That is the difference between the logical and the gullible, the logical know a potential virus when they see it.

If you have been following the news, then you are aware of the newest scandal. If you have been living under a rock.. watch this video...



Here is a hypothetical example..

In a school system somewhere in the United States a teacher was found molesting several children. The Principal of the school became aware of the situation; however, instead of going to the authorities, it was decided that the best course of action would be to relocate the teacher to a different school within the district. This was done out the fear of the bad press the school would have gotten. The teacher, while knowing his actions were wrong, could not resist temptation, and was found molesting more children. Eventually the story leaked; stories began to come out of the disgusting crime, along with the principal's covering up of it.

The purpose of this hypothetical example is to make an obvious point -- that point being the massive double standard (double standard on multiple fronts). If such a scenario was to happen in a school district, obviously the authorities would be throwing the book at both the pedophile and those that aided in his cover-up. The principal was both an assessor to child-molestation after-the-fact (could be argued before-the-fact as well), and obstruction of justice.

It is, as far as I know, all rumor that the Pope was responsible for covering this up. However such rumors appear to be well-grounded and perhaps a good amount of circumstantial evidence could be presented in  court that could potentially lead to a conviction. In other words, if you are aware of a crime within your organization (being a superior or not), that crime being the sexual-abuse of around 200 children -- children that so happen to be blind, and you do nothing, you have committed a crime of omission. If you not only are aware, but take actions to cover it up, you are an assessor after-the-fact. If it has been found that the after the relocation -- the pedophile molested more children -- it could be argued that the people aware of the situation are assessors before-the-fact (the recidivism rate of child-molestation is very well known, probably even more-so within the Catholic church, especially among those that repeatedly cover it up).

The Pope should ask himself if Jesus would live like a king and protect child-molesters. If the Catholic church wanted to avoid bad press, and deal these people internally, they should have brought stoning back (stoning justified by the Bible in such cases in more ways than one). Wearing a condom is viewed as being a horrible sin -- one which is greater than the preventable deaths of millions.. but molesting children is viewed as a minor offense, one which the greatest fear of all is the bad-press caused by it. 

This Pope is responsible for the genocide caused by the spread of AIDS-ignorance -- which is a crime for obvious reasons (willful-ignorance is not a defense). It is like yelling "fire" in a crowded theater because you believe in spontaneous human combustion. With this new scandal, this guy should at-least be thrown into prison to rot, he is responsible for amounts of death comparable to Hitler (Hitler thought he was doing the right thing as well). If such actions were committed by anyone other than the Pope, it would be no doubt as to whether they would get thrown into prison. What a ridiculous double standard.
