Thunderf00t -Westboro Baptist Church (full interview)

I threw a short clip of this earlier up on this blog. Here is the full interview. Aren't Christians adorable? :)

That old hag is probably the most annoying bitch I've ever seen. She barley let Thunderf00t get a few words out before she would cut him off. She simply isn't open to the opinions of others. She (I use the word 'she' loosely) is the perfect example of close-mindedness in action. A person who is confident with their worldview should not be afraid of the opinions of those that disagree with it. She is obviously very angry; anger is an emotion born out of fear, and it is safe to say that she fears atheism.

BTW, didn't Jesus teach love? The Westboro Baptist Church's message is the polar opposite of the one Jesus had.

Thunderf00t Vs. Westboro Baptist Church (hilarious, much watch!)

"You're a filthy pervert"

Oh, that is probably the most hilarious thing ever. When the bible says "when one man lie with another man" or "sleeps in the same bed", it is referring to homosexuality (duh?). It's funny how easily offended and insecure those woman are. Thunderf00t made their day complete. I bet that is the last time the Westboro Baptist Church members have an interview with an atheist :P

Coughlan's obsession with gay porn and Thunderf00t

The joke is on Coughlan. Think about it, what kind of websites was he going on to find those images? In other words, how often is Coughlan surfing around the internet, looking for images of men masturbating? Clearly way too often for any genuinely straight male, at least in my opinion.

Really though, what kind of guy does this? How can he keep a "straight" face while going through all this effort? He obviously has some sort of obsession with Thunderf00t, and an obsession with images of men masturbating. And again, why would Coughlan have the desire to fabricate sexual images of Thunderf00t? The images look so obviously fake, so it's improbable that he believed others would buy it. Regardless, he obviously is very obsessed with Thunderf00t, and obviously looks at images of men masturbating from time to time. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....yeah....

In closing, Coughlan's behavior shows exactly what's wrong with the atheist movement. It is people like him that cause the false-stereotype that all atheists are arrogant, noisy, psuedo-intellectual, immoral, rude, and generally slimy. I believe that atheism is not right for all people, some atheists would be much better off with religion. Coughlan, do the world a favor and find God, He's calling for you :)

Thunderf00t on Terry Jones burning the Koran

It's funny the value people will place on silly things like paper. It will be interesting to see how YouTube (Google) will handle the Draw Muhammad Day. I assume they will do the right thing—which is nothing—in the spirit of freedom of speech.

Which is more offensive?

A). Burning a book

B). Large scale violence/murder  for burning a book.

The problem here is that some people learn that violence is the way to deal with those they disagree with. To give into their threats of violence over and over again will cause them to impose themselves more and more onto our way of life (which they disagree with). Many people are trying to be peace-keepers, when in reality they are nurturing this sort of behavior by not condemning it (i.e. they are causing the perpetuation of violence). We should never condone this violence by not condemning it. They need to learn that the reason we protest by drawing their prophet (which is silly when thought about) and burning certain books is because of their violent reactions. Imagine if it were the other way around. What if people overseas were drawing Jesus—causing Christians to flip out by cutting people's heads off and burning effigies in the street?

Here are two common sayings that I think speak volumes here..

"If you give them an inch, they will take a mile"

"The squeaky wheel gets the oil"

Oh, and by the way, isn't idolatry a sin for Muslims? Why do they idolize a prophet and a book? Me thinks Allah might be a little pissed (just kidding, a word cannot be pissed).

Thunderf00t: To Unify by Perception

What is external to humans and earth will be what unites us. If we look at ourselves we just fixate on our differences (it is the nature in which we organize information); while it is entertaining, it does cause an endless source of conflict. I especially like these videos of Thunderf00t -- they have a great message in them which is that science (observing and understanding reality) can inspire and unite people.

Thunderf00t: A house divided against itself

What's ironic about the criticism that Thunderf00t is getting is that it's coming from people that are far from being experts at anything themselves (other than being hypocrites). It is a perfectly sound argument that he presents, which is why the backlash from some atheists doesn't make sense. Perhaps those atheists that disagree with him are a little envious. It's no secret that a good amount of the atheists on YouTube are jealous, narcissistic attention whores (putting it nicely). Many of the atheists on YouTube have obvious ego issues, which is why they fight amongst themselves so often (they need to attack others to feed their own egos/self-importance).

Thunderf00t vs. VenomFangX: Twilight Zone vs The Bible

It all makes so much sense now!

It seems that God doesn't like atheists because we don't taste good. :(

Thunderf00t Owns VenomFangX (creationism vs. atheism)

It's sad the things people sacrifice in order to avoid the fear of dying. Once a person accepts the fact of their own mortality, it is much easier for them to become an atheist. God gives people hope that they wont actually die, in a believers mind any hope must be grabbed onto. Most atheists that I have talked with about death seem to not fear it in the same way Christians do. It seems that Christians like VenomFangX realize that atheists are probably right, but hope that they aren't. The mind does incredible things to avoid fears.

Thunderf00t: Newton's Christianity (response to VenomFangX)

Thunderf00t: The Hopelessness of Atheism (appreciation of life and complexity)

Death isn't a depressing concept if people use it to appreciate the life they have, instead of running to religion in hopes of living forever. An intelligent atheist can appreciate being alive much more than the most devout Christian.

VenomFangX: "Thunderf00t serves death"

"The Bible says.."

No thought required for a Christian....

Accepting death makes a person appreciate life more. If someone believes that they will live forever, they will not be able to truly appreciate how amazing life is. VenomFangX automatically assumes God is real, and that the Bible is the "word" of this being; he provides no evidence to support either of these claims. Atheists do not "serve" death, they appreciate life by being aware of death. Death is one of those things which happens to all of us. Everyone has seen the effects of brain damage on an individual; death is the ultimate form of brain damage in that it is the brain's complete destruction.

VenomFangX is back on the air!

OH MY! The infamous creationist is back on YouTube. Thunderf00t is going to have fun with him.

Video: Did NASA really find New Life?? (Thunderf00t)

 ---------------------------------
NASA announced 'An Astrobiological finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life'
http://www.sciencemag.org/content/ear...
An astrobiological finding? Really? not just an interesting study of some extremophile bacteria in Mono Lake?
While the results and the research are both interesting, the oversell in unjustified based on it.
Specifically speculating about arsenate based DNA based on....... well not a lot really. Some EXAFS that shows little more beyond the model sensitive stuff kicks in that its tetracoordinate. Now they claim they can tell the difference between that and the AsO4 anion and its variants, but EXAFS is really pretty model dependent stuff for anything beyond the first shell.
They also do some phenol-chloroform analysis and some other fairly standard biochemistry, all based on the assumption, which is a very shakey one, that IF they have arsenic DNA, then it will behave in a similar fashion to regular DNA.
The irony is this woman, Felisa Wolfe-Simon, claims in the press conference to have read all the seminal paper etc etc including Watsons n Cricks paper on the structure of DNA, leading to the bloody obvious Q. why not just do the fiber diffraction patter, then QED. I mean IF they have what they say, its a crystallographers wet dream with all those heavy atom substitutions!
A lot of the oversimplistic view of biochemistry really rubbed me up the wrong way. Getting overly worked up about which chemicals are present and which ones are not seems kinda trivial. The work in itself is interesting enough without this sort of claim, the more so as this facile overview of biochemistry is only much use for noobs.
I mean if this trivial stamp collecting is what NASAs into, you can substitute Se for S in many proteins, and indeed the crystallographers love this sort of heavy atom substitution.... should we call a press conference of astrobiology for this too? Similarly for various ion substitutions.
Loads of the technical detail of the paper bugged me too, the way they always refer to phosphate and arsenate explicitly as the 3- ions, even when they are incorporated into molecular structures. They classification of the phosphate and arsenate species present also represented significant biochemistry thinking. Looks like most the basisity of the solution comes from the carbonate, but some sort of estimate of the various concentrations of the various protonation states of the oxyanion in these solutions would have been nice (relatively trivial to calculate). Basically saying what you gurgled into these solutions is not as useful as what exists in the solutions you used.
Finally I have grave doubts about the premature nature of this data, and couldnt help but feel the shadow of Pons and Fleischman. Big PR announcements that turn out to be bogus just undermine the publics confidence in science, when civilization needs it as never before.
I sincerely hope Felisa is right here, for all our sakes. If I was asked what my estimate of an organism being able to absorb this sort of structural shock in a few generation going from an entirely phosphate based backbone to arsenate (given that this will mostly likely have BIG effects in both histone binding, and transcription, the factors that determine the production of proteins) I would be giving it a chance (generously) in the few percent range. Biochemistry is REALLY picky over structure.\
---------------------

Kind of sad that NASA would make such a claim without any supporting evidence. Perhaps they were just looking for some attention from the media? For NASA also to use the term 'extraterrestrial life' a lie. The life form they found both originated and lives on the same planet we do.

Atheist Thunderf00t: God to redefine Physics in 5 days?

Creationists are such good subjects for comedy....and psychotherapy. The universe has a clear atheist bias!

New! 'Why Do People Laugh at Creationists' (YouTube Atheist Thunderf00t)

Nephilimfree looks like the kind of guy who wants to cut off your skin off and wear it around with his wiener tucked in. Something isn't right about him, beyond being very delusional and stupid. In other words, I wouldn't let children within 50 yards of him. Maybe I'm judging a book by it's cover, but he has child-molester written on his forehead. It also wouldn't surprise me if the guy 'hears the voice of God'. On the bright-side, creationists are a great source of entertainment for atheists, they never disappoint.

'Death-threat Dawahfilms' goes Doc Hunting (Atheist Thunderf00t)

What a tool...

Dawahfilms seems to love to fantasize about dishing out "Islamic Justice" (yes, it is an oxymoron). If you look into his eyes when he is giving out those threats, the piercing hatred and insecurity is easily seen. Poor little guy, cheer up! Smile and the world smiles with you. Cry and you cry alone.

Thunderf00t: 'Tolerance' and the 'Ground Zero Mosque'

Thunderf00t's opinion on this is right in line with mine. A lot of PC Nazis take the belief in freedom of expression too far and are blinded by hateful nature of the NYC mosque. The mosque could very easily be built in another location, however there is something special to Muslims in that particular area—I wonder what that is....

While in this country we do have freedom of expression—the actions of the Muslims here is clearly hate-speech. For example, if the KKK wanted to build a headquarters in the middle of Harlem, they would not be able to do so because the motivation behind building it would be primarily to rub salt into the wounds of black people. The Muslims that want the mosque built in that particular spot see it more important to disrespect the victims than to acclimate themselves to our sensitive discourse. It seems as if they desire a hostile relationship with all non-Muslims here, which really is no surprise. Respect is a two way street.

BURN MUHAMMAD BURN!!!! (Thunderf00t)

Poor Muslims; all they can do is burn flags (and not even all that well, pro-tip: soak the flag in gasoline first). They talk a big talk, but I don't see them doing anything significant to express this anger (other than doing their protesting and flag burning). If they are so confident in themselves and their god, why do they not start invading? Is it because they know they would get slaughtered by any modern nation in a conventional war?

When it comes to the threat that Muslims pose to the rest of the world...

Muslims are like....
