Another Brutal Day.

Not much went on today, too hot for white people to be outside—so I spent most of my day watching YouTube videos/playing video games. I threw in a funny stand-up routine of Joe Rogan making fun of Bush and Palin, check it out!

OMFG IT WAS HOT TODAY

We're barely into July and it was over 100 degrees with the humidity (not sure how that works), and keep in mind I live up near the Canadian border. I was on the verge of stripping naked and doing a rain dance outside. I decided against it—there is a nearby airport, the possibility of reflecting light into a pilot's eyes with my pale complexion made it not worth it. That and being the evil—Satan worshiping atheist that I am, the bright light can damage my demonic soul. So yeah, boring day.

On a positive note, this video was funny. If you hate/dislike Justin Bieber, check it out..

If you have been following the news, I guess Bieber made this online poll that allowed his "fans" to pick which country he performs in next. Some internet "pranksters" thought it would be funny to vote for North Korea a bunch of times, and it is the top reply thus far. Have fun bud, I'm sure it'll be a huge hit over there, maybe you can try to catch Kim Jong Yil's underwear when he throws them on stage.

Conspiracy Theorists

This post is directed towards those conspiracy theorists that believe the world as we know it is coming to an end in the near future. If you are not a stranger to the internet, you have seen these people, sometimes you run into them in real life. These people have a very interesting mentality. I was watching this blogTV show that was hosted by one of these people. The majority of his show consisted of him rambling about how great Toyota trucks are for off-roading. He goes from that, to THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END SOON AND YOU NEED TO BE PREPARED. It takes a strange mentality, in my opinion, to go from bullshitting about trucks, to the world coming to an end in the next few years.

I believe I have a good bead on these people, and why they compartmentalize in this way. They are like the religious, now not all of these people are religious, but there is a great amount of overlap. Now, what does this tell us? Well, first of all, it tells us that these people will believe things without demanding concrete evidence. I'm not claiming that all gullible people are religious, and I'm also not claiming that I can know for a fact that the world "as we know it" is not going to come to an end in a few years. I am simply pointing out that these people will believe a story that is interesting as opposed to using skepticism. One of the conspiracy theories is that in 2012, the majority of the power in the United States will be knocked out, and this will cause the country to fall into anarchy. Let's humor this theory for a few moments, because there is some evidence to suggest that this could happen. I fail to see the connection between this and the WORLD COMING TO AN END and the ILLUMINATI TAKING OVER THE WORLD WITH THE NEW WORLD ORDER!!! If we had a mass power-outage, it would cause a lot of problems. There may be rioting in some areas, but most places in the country would be fine, and the power would be back up in a matter of days or weeks. I lived in northern New York during the 1998 ice storm. We didn't have power for like 3 weeks, and there was no anarchy, it was just a pain the in ass not being able to watch TV. To some of these conspiracy couch-potatoes, this may sound like THE END OF THE WORLD.

Let's even pretend that there was a group of people that did want to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. Does it matter what they want? I don't really care how much money they have, getting nearly 7 billion people to go along with it is impossible. Do these people actually believe that the most powerful military in the world (United States) would go along with the NEW WORLD ORDER? We can barely get along with the rest of the world, and we obviously can't control the entire world, how would some secret organization find a way to do it?

Are there some rich and powerful people that belong to secret organizations in the world? Sure, but let's be realistic, these people love the existence of the lower majority, they are what made them rich and powerful in the first place. Teabaggers and their paranoia are a bigger threat to our society than any secret organization could be.

If we have learned one thing from our history it is that the world is only a few years away from ending, and that in this context there are two types of people:

-the people that have power
-the people that want power

The people that have power typically always want more. The people that don't have power often are jealous of those that do, and if they had that power, they would behave no better (Obama doing a lot of things he badmouthed Bush for doing). The jealous masses often attack those with the power (French Revolution) and bring them back down to Earth. As a species with a life span of around 100 years or so, we should not be worried about the end of the world and dying. It's almost as if people like living with a fantasy-created-anxiety in order to escape the reality of their boring, insignificant, lives.

Once we are all dead (no more than 80-90 years from now) will any of our worrying matter? In-fact, I would rather die of some historically catastrophic event, than to die laying in urine soaked sheets in a nursing home. As far as the human species I am biased towards dreading its end; either way, it will end eventually, we should enjoy the ride while we can. That being said, I can say with confidence that, like all the 1,000s of "potential" Armageddons in our past, the world is not coming to an end in the next few years.

Why Is Gambling Illegal?

Gambling being illegal in the United States is ridiculous. We always hear people talk about how great it is to live in a free country, but we can't gamble? I believe people should be free to do as they wish with their money. If a person wants to put their life savings on the outcome of a horse race, they should be free to do so. Being told what we can and cannot do with our money is screwed up. In my case, I love playing poker, but, I can't play it online for money because of certain laws that prohibit it.

Gambling is a fun thing to do, it adds some excitement to life, so what if people can become addicted to it. Some people spend all their money collecting dolls (sorry "action figures"), and they do this because they are addicted to it. Just about any behavior can become addicting, and many can cause a person to lose a lot of money doing it. Hell, look at the stock market, that is the biggest casino in the world, people have lost a lot of money investing in it. Life is a gamble, nothing is certain, there is always risk involved. Risk and uncertainty make life interesting. If life was a certain, predictable thing, then it would be boring and not worth living.

When a person opens a business, they are taking a gamble with money, in order to make a profit, somebody needs to get screwed. The free market system is built around people screwing other people, typically for a relatively small amount of money, and when done enough, a person can make a living off it. In this country there are two types of people:

Fuckers: people that fuck other people out of their money.
Fucked: people that get fucked out of their money.

For example, fast food is much more destructive to society than gambling is. A person that eats greasy food on a regular basis is gambling with their lives (and the money spent on a wardrobe that they may soon not be able to fit into). Why is it that in our society money is worth more than a life? It is a fact that our unhealthy eating habits have caused us to become overweight as a society over the past few years, our arteries are getting clogged up and people are dying of  hearth failure. It is perfectly legal to sell grease soaked food that is responsible for a lot of death, but WE CAN'T GAMBLE BECAUSE THAT IS BAD. This country has a very strange set of priorities. Addicting unhealthy food that kills is perfectly fine, addicting ways to spend money THAT IS IMMORAL AND MUST BE BANNED !!!.

Gambling is everywhere, all things that are uncertain in life are a gamble, should we make life illegal? In this country we can join the military and learn how to kill people, and perhaps get a chance to do it, but we can't place a bet on the outcome of some random event?

Indian reservations are making bank off gambling being illegal. Gambling being illegal doesn't stop it, it just makes it slightly more inconvenient. The United States government needs to stop being a wet blanket.

Texas GOP Seeking to Ban Sodomy, Gay Marriage

The Republicans in Texas are looking to ban sodomy (oral and anal sex), along with gay marriage. With the lack of separation of church and state in Texas' history, this is not a surprising goal, and it wouldn't be all that surprising if they were able to do it. For those that truly get morality from the bible, hating homosexuals, along with what is considered 'homosexual behavior' should be expected.

However, I feel that it is much more about trying to overcompensate for personal insecurities. Are they afraid that if they don't ban sodomy soon, all cowboys will turn into this?

A: Yes

I'm glad the Texas GOP is doing this; in fact I hope the GOP as a whole adopts this goal as a political platform. With the large rise in the gay population, this will cause Republicans to get slaughtered at the polls. While I'm not a huge fan of the Democratic party, they are a lesser evil, and this country is much better off with them in control. Republicans are horrible political strategist, it's funny to watch.

Australian priest admits child sex abuse, testifies in court

A New South Wales District Court heard today from Priest John Sidney Denham, who pled guilty to a string of sexual abuse charges involving 39 minors between 1979 and 1986 in Newcastle and Taree, north of Sydney.

Denham, who was Head of Discipline at St Pius X High School, Newcastle, where 27 of the young boys that he abused attended, claimed to have been given access to the boys when they were sent to him for misbehaving in class and told the court as well as a psychiatrist that "some of them were little bastards who were already in trouble."

Although Denham couldn't offer any explanation as to why he committed the crimes in question, he claimed "[i]t was as if I thought no-one could resist me" having told the court prior that he was aroused by children he took pity on. 67-year-old Denham, whose age led a psychiatrist to class him as being at a low risk of reoffending, has called himself a "mere scumbag paedophile".

Denham finished his testimony by apologising to the victims and their families. He has yet to receive a sentence. He claims he has not committed any more offences in the last 25 years.

------------------------------------------

I bet Catholic priests miss the good old days, when molesting children was so much easier. It always seems to be 'young boys'. Perhaps this is the case because children are the only ones these priests can physically control and keep quite. A Catholic priest doing a sexual act with a young boy shows homosexual tendencies, which is no surprise (which I'll explain).

A gay man would be more likely to live a life of celibacy in a society which condemns homosexuality. People will accuse me of saying that "all gay people are pedophiles", or that "being gay makes a person more likely to be a pedophile", to clear this up, let me explain. Hypothetically, let's say that heterosexuality was viewed as taboo in a society. This caused heterosexuals to be pushed into the more socially acceptable life of celibacy (because male on female sex is taboo). This fits nicely with the only job where celibacy is not only a good thing, but required. Let's say that these celibate heterosexuals lived this lifestyle for 30+ years, and were surrounded by young girls. I would be willing to bet that high amounts of child molestation would occur. My point is that the suppression of the natural human sex drive is the main problem here, along with the condemnation of homosexuality by society. Once both of these things are gone, so will go the high amount of 'child touching'. Virtually all humans have sexual urges, when those urges get suppressed over the greater part of a lifetime, it can psychologically screw an individual up, making them do crazy things. The Catholic church must allow priests to marry, and condemn pedophilia in a much more convincing way.
