Keith Olbermann Suspended and the 'Red Scare' (Amazing Atheist)

Apparently Keith Olbermann was reinstated. People vote for political parties like they are sports teams. I think at the voting booth, political parties should not be shown. This will cause people to actually do research and not vote along party lines.

EPIC NAKED GUY GOES ON RAMPAGE JUMPING ON CARS

Funniest thing I've seen on YouTube in awhile. This is what happens when you drink too much Jesus juice.

Former President Bush's New Interview With Matt Lauer (with an atheistic rant thrown in for good measure).

<rant>
It seems odd seeing Bush do an interview now after being in the dark for a good while. I'm glad to see he is still the same awkward, goofy guy that we all remember him for. I don't think it was his 'quick tongue' which caused him to be stupid, it was his slow brain.

What caught my attention (my atheist senses were tingling by this point) was when Matt Lauer said something to the effect of: 'you can't prove God, but you also can't disprove God, so evidence is not a factor'. The first thought that came to my mind (and I'm sure many other atheists) was: "what a ridiculously stupid and empty point". By the very fact that god can not be proven to exist proves that humans have no reason to know or be aware of his existence. If a god does exist, his all-invisibleness hasn't left a trace of evidence that humans are able pick up on (real, tangible, scientific evidence--not some schizophrenic nut that 'hears voices').

Let's say this God guy was to come down to earth in the form of a bullfrog. Christians wouldn't believe that the frog was their god. Christians claim to believe in the existence of a being which they know nothing about—they are able to list off what this guy has done—but are unable to list off anything about the being itself other than He is all-powerful in every imaginable way. Atheists and Christians both believe in nothing when it comes to God. When an atheist sees a void in understanding, they call it ignorance, when a Christian sees it, they call it "God". As an atheist, knowing people like Bush were in office (having the nuclear codes), made me, and probably many others very uncomfortable.

Real Men (part 2) Don't Drink Honey

They chew bees.

Here are a few videos to get fans of Conan pumped for tonight...

Real Men (part 1) Are Atheists

When I use the term 'Real men', I am referring to men that are both intelligent and mentally tough (while some lesbians are close to being real men, 'close' doesn't count here -- sorry women). I say that 'real men' practice atheism for the following reasons:

  • Atheists don't need to be comforted by fairy tales to convince themselves life is worth living.
  • Atheists don't need to believe in a fictional paradise after death in order to not fear death (or at least to not need false-consolation).
  • Atheists don't believe in childish things like talking snakes and imaginary friends.
  • Atheists are, as a whole, genuinely good (Christians, for example, behave like naughty-children around Christmas who would rape and pillage if they didn't believe in a god—or so they claim).
  • Atheists think for themselves and are able to come to rational conclusions about the world without worrying if an imaginary friend will be mad at them for thinking.
  • Atheists take responsibility for their beliefs and actions, and don't use an imaginary being as a scapegoat (which seems cowardly).

You may be asking yourself: "well, woman can be all of this....why can't they be considered real men?" If you think this, perhaps you should Google "male anatomy vs female anatomy". And also, no one cares about real woman, does the term even exist? I assume if it does it has something to do with expert sandwich making.

P.S.
Women have a gift for making amazing sandwiches, I don't understand why so many get insulted when I point this fact out. Their tiny, soft, clean hands work so much better for manipulating condiments and preparing meats.

Sam Harris on the "dangers" of "atheism"

It is a strange world. I agree with Sam Harris in that the term 'atheist' may not be the most strategic. But it is convenient, otherwise we would be forced to list every god we don't believe in. I also see, however, that labeling ourselves as 'atheists' can create in-group/out-group mentalities to form.
