APB #5: Pat Condell on Islam and 'left-wing pricks'

Left-wing pricks...gotta love to hate them ('hate' too strong of a word?).  Political correctness is the enemy of free speech (free speech rights are pointless if we can't offend someone). It seems that 'left-wing pricks' want to create a nerf-world for everyone to live in. Left-wingers claim to want to change the world so that it is a better place—but things cannot be improved unless some people get offended. All political correctness does is perpetuate hatred by not letting it settle itself out. A person should be free to communicate their ideas freely, no matter how controversial (unless the intent is to cause physical harm to others).

I believe most atheists are on the same  page when it comes to protecting freedom of speech, but I'm sure some have been brainwashed to fight against it (as with nearly all groups). People need to grow thicker skin.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a secret child!

Arnold Schwarzenegger 2004-01-30

I just read on Yahoo News that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a 'secret child' (click me for story). Why does it seem like so many politicians are unfaithful? I believe it has to do with the nature of a politician. Most politicians, in order to be successful, need to be sociopathic to an extent. Harsh? Well, I believe underlying many stereotypes is a grain of wisdom. I believe that, yes, politicians are just good liars, and in order to be a "good" liar, a person must be a bad person (at least in my opinion). People that lie and cheat are moral-relativists. We know of so many politicians that have cheated on their spouses, the question is how many do it and get away with it?

I believe Arnold Schwarzenegger is sociopathic, and moral relativism is the morality of a sociopath. When confronted with an immoral temptation (like cheating on a spouse), a sociopath will utilize moral relativism to justify their actions. I bet if Arnold found out that his wife cheated on him, he wouldn't have accepted it like he accepted it as being okay to cheat on her - this is the nature of a moral-relativist. At the end of the day, we are moral creatures by nature, sadly, we can use our brains to think ourselves out of moral obligations.

If you read the comments of this story on Yahoo News, you will see most people being sympathetic (even though I think Yahoo filters comments). This just goes to show that moral relativism is a strong force in society. To sympathize with someone is to accept their actions as being permissible, and this just goes to show how many people subscribe to moral relativistic thinking. Very few people would tolerate being cheated on, yet they accept it when they do it themselves, and feel sympathy for those that do it to others (perhaps they can associate with it). Anyways, yep, just wanted to put my 2 cents in on this issue. It's a shame most politicians are scumbags, I believe if a politician gets caught, even in a white lie, they should be punished at the polls severely. America needs more of a paranoia of being lied to by politicians. If politicians can't be trusted to be faithful to their wives, how can we trust them with running society?

Donald Trump for president?

DonaldTrumpFeb09

"You're fired!"

Apparently he is thinking about running in 2012. The 2012 presidential election is going to be colorful.

Trump/Palin 2012?

If it happens, the Apocalypse definitely might probably could happen (let's hope it doesn't).

What is up with Republican candidates not "coming out" (not the gay closet...I think)? Not one has officially declared their candidacy. Am I the only one that finds this strange? They wouldn't admit it, but I think they are afraid of the political attacks from the media (digging up dirt, etc.). Don't be scared!

I'm curious (too lazy to look it up) what Donald Trump's religious views are. I assume he is some sort of protestant... or maybe a secret atheist! Despite what people think of the guy (I think he is a scumbag), he is fairly intelligent. I'm curious to see how he would fair in politics, I mean, way to jump in the deep end head first (he should have ran for treasurer in some hick town as a warm-up)....

Is Barack Obama A Closet Atheist? (The Atheist Experience)

It seems very possible that Obama is an atheist. Given the way he has spoken about religion, he is at the very least a deist. I suppose it doesn't matter if Obama is an atheist or not, his belief in secularism is much greater than both of the Bush's. Remember when Bush senior said that atheists should not be considered citizens (look it up)? It seems as if atheists are the most hated minority in the United States (more-so than Muslims).

Basil Marceaux IS MY HERO! (must watch video)

Probably the most articulate politician of our generation, he would absolutely crush Obama in a debate. Imagine if we had him running with Sarah Palin? Game f*cking over!

Basil Marceaux (most awesome political candidate ever?)

Wish he would run for governor of New York, then maybe after he fixes the problems here, he can run for President and clean up Obama's mess!

"In God We Trust"

The words "In God We Trust" are found on all of the U.S currency. The idea of having other peoples imaginary friends on our money may sound like a good idea to some. But what about the people that don't believe in it? It seems to me that people that don't "trust" in "God" are not relevant in this country.

When the topic of removing the slogan comes up, the opposition almost always says things like "why do you have to impose your atheist beliefs on us?" or something like that. What if instead of "God" it said "In Allah We Trust"? Imagine how much anger that would stir up. Or better yet imagine if it said "In Darwin We Trust"? There is really no difference between any of these slogans, all of them are offensive to the people that don't agree with them. It seems to me that Christians in this country tend to be self centered, especially when it comes to this issue or ones like it. They are unable to empathize with other people.

I am optimistic about it being taken off eventually. I feel it is only a matter of time. But I think when the time comes we will get to see just how childish the religious right is in this country.
