"A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortune-teller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death." -Leviticus 20:27
Isn't that a tad bit excessive? "they have no one but themselves to blame for their death" — or they can blame the people that stoned them — or even better, the writers that made up this nasty law. Just to get this straight: it's okay to believe in an invisible sky daddy, and pretend to speak with him telepathically; but not okay to pretend to telepathically speak with spirits and/or predict the future. Those that wrote this book expected people to believe/respect their silly ideas, but want people who have ideas which are just as ridiculous as theirs to be put to death. Double standard much?
