The quality that most atheists (excluding your garden-variety herd-atheist) is their ability to think-outside-of-the-box. A mind incapable of thinking outside-of-the-box will not question held beliefs; they will also be unable to understand that even though humans make complex things by 'creating' them, that does not mean that complexity can only arise by 'creation'.
