Wouldn't an atheist pride rally be fun? I was thinking that we could get a bunch of chimpanzees and serve spaghetti. Seriously though, if it worked for the gay community, I bet it would work for the atheist community. While many atheists don't realize it, we are one of the most hated groups in america (even more hated than gay people, well at least polls would suggest this). Fortunately the atheist movement has come along way, I just believe that atheists organizing and holding events to celebrate atheism (the liberation from religion) would ultimately be a good thing for our cause. I'm sure there has to have been an atheist pride rally by now (would be very surprised if their wasn't), I'm talking more on a widespread scale.
