Many atheists believe abortion is morally permissible. It's a case of atheists believing that if Christians have a moral stance, it must be wrong. I have found that most atheists that are pro-choice haven't given the issue much thought. To kill an 'unborn child' is murder (like the killing of any innocent human-life). Many pro-choice atheists believe that all intelligent atheists are pro-choice as well—as this video shows—that is far from the case. The people that support abortion believe that inconvenience is a good enough excuse for murder.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens On The Compelling Arguments for the Existence of God
I never found the 'fine tuning' argument all that compelling. It basically states that if the laws of physics were different, things would be different. If the laws of physics were different in such a way that human life couldn't exist—obviously it wouldn't—but it's not. It seems to me that those with poor arguments create fantasies, then structure arguments around those fantasies to avoid reality. Even though there is no evidence the universe is intelligently designed in any way, let's say for the sake of argument that some came about. How could this intelligent design even be linked to a god? Proof that God did something cannot be found unless the actual being in question is found to exist first, then we can assess what this being did or did not do.
Anyways, Mr. Hitchens is right, that is probably the best argument going for them at the movement. I hope he is doing well in his battle with cancer (haven't heard an update in a while).

Atheist Christopher Hitchens: "There is no Creationism debate, it's over!"
I slightly disagree with Hitchens, it seems that some morality is learned (i.e. not innate). But that doesn't mean morality can only be learned from religion, or is totally learned by religion even by those that are religious. But, there appears to be a moral void forming in the United States as religion continues to die. This generation of kids is the most nonreligious we have ever had in the United States, which I believe is one of the main causes behind things like the rise of teen-pregnancy etc.. Despite what many atheists claim, if you can get a person to believe they will go to hell for committing immoral behavior, that is a much stronger case than "you should just be moral so others are moral to you". In-fact, it seems that (perhaps I'm connecting dots that shouldn't be connected) when humans give less thought about what is moral and what isn't (humans were forced to, out of fear of doing the wrong thing and going to hell) their empathetical-intelligence seems to suffer (study that shows this decline in college students, click me!). Of course, Hitchens is right, the creationism debate is over, however the moral debate is far from over.
Many atheists do not want to admit it, but a good amount of morality is learned. For example, look at the kids that grow up in bad households/neighborhoods (they learn to behave immorally), just food for thought, but we tend to ignore the fact that much of our morality is learned.

Hitchens: Hitler was not an atheist
Hitler obviously was not an atheist. Christians like to make up lies to divert attention away from the fact that Hitler was a Catholic. But, even if Hitler was an atheist (he wasn't), it wouldn't mean that atheism was the motivating belief (atheism is not a belief, but a lack of one). Atheists need to do a better job at putting this misinformation to rest.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens on National Day of Prayer as being unconstitutional. (CNN Debate)
'arrogance" and "ignorance"?
What a tool. Some of the founding fathers had slaves as well. It's strange how people worship the founding like they are Gods, or at least super-human. The founding fathers were people, and their opinions were no more right than the people that live today. The founding fathers can be wrong, and they were wrong about many things (which is why we have many amendments to the constitution). The one idea of theirs that was good was secularism. It doesn't matter if the founding fathers were religious or not, the government they created was not.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens destroys Christian William Lane Craig in a debate.
I don't think Billy Craig realizes how foolish he looks. When it comes to the existence of God and/or the role God has on this universe, it is all taken on faith. To believe that you can effectivly debate agaisnt an atheist about the existence of a being that cannot be proven is absurd.

Atheists Hitchens & Dawkins Expose Mormon Religion
Thank God for men like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens (kidding about the 'God' part obviously). Must be uncomfortable being religious and listening to either of them speak on the subject.
Mormonism is a very strange religion indeed. Its followers however do seem much more devout and kinder to their fellow man (regardless of their beliefs). I hate to say it, but even though Mormonism's falsity is more easily proven, they are much more Christ-like than other Christians.

Atheist Hitchens Slams Palin on Larry King Live - Oct 24
October 24, 2008
Larry King Live panel discussion with Christopher Hitchens, Lars Larson, Terry Holt, and Scott McClellan.
Just thinking about the McCain vs. Obama elections brings back my fears of what could have been. If people think Obama was bad, imagine if Palin/McCain were running things, people are delusional if they think that would have ended well.
Ingraham and Hitchens Go Toe to Toe on Obama
Christopher Hitchens is the kind of guy that doesn't vote along party lines (like all people should be), he picks the guy he thinks can do the best job. Shame most Americans aren't like this.
atheist Christopher Hitchens: why religion should be fought
If there weren't for the rational to keep the superstitious in check, this world would be a much different place.
Atheist Christopher Hitchens Owns Rabbi Harold Kushner
Christopher Hitchens is a legend. Religion makes good people do bad things, but it also can make bad people do good things to avoid eternal punishment.
Atheist Christopher Hitchens smacks down Billy Graham
Video Description: World traveler, journalist, and feared iconoclast Christopher Hitchens pronounces his opinion of Billy Graham. Hitchens proves himself yet again to be the most articulate man alive.
It is sickening to think that some people make a living lying to children. I remember during my Sunday school days (when I was 7 years old or so) the teacher told us students that if we ever see a snake, we should kill it. He told us that snakes were evil creatures—isn't that kind of f'ed up to be telling a child? Shouldn't that be considered child abuse? That is the kind of stuff that breeds paranoid delusional people—teaching them to fear the world and death itself.
Atheist Christopher Hitchens Attacks Religion
Description:
by 43Alley.
This is the brilliant opening statement that Christopher Hitchens gave in a religion vs. atheism debate with Alister McGrath on October 11, 2007.
Instead of simply watching Hitchens at the podium, here the speech's audio is overlayed with illustations to try to do justice to the logic of this very compelling argument.
(Part 1)
(Part 2)
For those that don't know, Christopher Hitchens is currently battling cancer. Hopefully he pulls through.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens - We shouldn't fear death
Hitchens is great as always. The best way to live life is without the fear of death. Religion loves to exploit the innate fear of death for their own ends. Religion thrives off this fear. If all humans were immortal, none would be religious, and living on earth would be heavenly.
