There can be no God because Hitchens is at the center of his own Universe. His ego does not allow for an external entity greater or more powerful than himself let alone being the judge of him. He sees the purpose of others in terms of how they can fit his needs. He does not see others as having needs of there own which is why in his mind there can be no God. God is selfless and selflessness is a concept that Hitchens does not believe in.
Have a happy awakening Christopher. Although I expect it to be more of a rude awakening than a happy one.
