Believers will try to twist themselves out of having to explain why their god isn't responsible for this. They will blame the parents: "they lived in sin and are being punished" etc. I believe it is safe to say the baby probably didn't commit any sins in the mother's womb. Rather God is a complete a-hole (which makes him/her/it not all loving), or there is no god.
Here are a few believers making 'God comments' on this YouTube video....
Miaa1996: "wow ! thank GOD for what i have !"
MusicLover41797: "you are so right! I don want to say this but I hate all those people for being so rude and mean! they should be grateful they dont have ot live in these conditions! Cless this baby, and its family. And to think about the end, not 2012, but when God comes back to earth, he takes Christians and Christians only ot heaven. The rest literally go to hell. It's scary to think that he can come at any time and there are so many people that dont know him..."
supermanExtacy: "god bless that unlucky child"
ashmont32: "God bless"
Lawrencespade: "poor thing god bless"
Tazlushify: "You're cruel all of you burn in hell the poor thing didn't choose to look that way HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU LOOKED THAT WAY! And is a motherfucking miracle that that baby even survived your sick people!"
My favorite is when people say things like "god bless" after seeing this baby—it looks like the last thing any god is going to do is "bless" it. If there is a god it hates this baby with a passion.
I'm sure as an 'atheist', you'd want to simply euthanise such a child and show everyone how much more humane you are than people who believe in God... or do you have something more constructive to say?!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I really do wish you well on your journey, I'm just having trouble with the fanatical tone of this website.
I'm sorry you feel that way.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very immature conception of what G-d is supposed to be. What if G-d does exist but is not aware of your existence? What if there is a G-d but not a personal G-d? What if we stem out of a higher reality, called simplistically "G-d", yet at a lower universe ruled by randomness? Quite similar like your own cells being born, living through a certain span of time and then dying. They die, but still you live, you EXIST.
ReplyDeleteAre we the cells of the universe? Maybe.
Perhaps you should criticize the way in which G-d has been traditionally represented in morphological terms.
Perhaps you should realize that atheism is one of the dumbest things besides Neoconservatism, and that being humble and agnostic about the whole thing is the most reasonable approach to this.
Or you could try and understand what the concept of faith is and pray and hope for that unfathomable mystery called G-d, for he/she/it may hear you, and maybe you won't be disappointed. But at least look and search and knock at the door, who knows , maybe it shall be opened.
