Video Description — The session was titled "The Design of Life," and the TED audience was probably expecting remarks about evolution's role in our history from biologist Richard Dawkins. Instead, he launched into a full-on appeal for atheists to make public their beliefs and to aggressively fight the incursion of religion into politics and education (quoting Douglas Adams in the bargain). Scientists and intellectuals hold very different beliefs about God from the American public, he says, yet they are cowed by the overall political environment. Dawkins' scornful tone drew strongly mixed reactions from the audience; some stood and applauded his courage. Others wondered whether his strident approach could do more harm than good. Dawkins went on to publish The God Delusion and become perhaps the world's best-known atheist. You have to love Richard Dawkins (unless you're a Christian of course). I would say that he is one of the most influencial atheist of our day. His ability to articulate rationality and science (redundant?) makes him a scary figure for the religious.

Richard Dawkins: An atheist's call to arms
Science Is Wrong ... Only God Knows The Truth
Video Description — We Christians know that science is wrong about a lot of things. But if you just use your own eyes, and your faith, you can make your own scientific discoveries. And you don't have to be a God-hating know-it-all to do it.

Video Description — Atheist billboards are the wave of the future. Here are 10 of the best PROPOSED billboards. Only a couple of these billboards are up and in use.
I bet any one of those would be very "popular" in the south. Atheists, we need to make signs, billboards, and bumper stickers! Go go!
Physics and Biology proves Gods existence?
video description — A very entertaining 8 minute piece of The Atheist Experience episode 568 where the brilliant host Matt Dillahunty runs the callers arguments into the ground as usual.
The Atheist Experience is a remarkable show hosted by truly knowledgeable people, witch makes it very educational and entertaining. If everyone watched this show, everyone would be better off.
I think that physics and biology proves the existence of leprechauns.
How to think properly about God - the Atheist Experience
Great point made in this video. The argument that to be an atheist takes faith is stupid. That is like saying that it takes hair to be bald.
+1 Atheism
-15 Christianity for not understanding what the word 'faith' means.
6 Of The Ultimate Reasons Not To Be An Atheist
First off, I would like to point out that the kids in this video are hypocrites for wearing lipstick (homosexuality is a sin). All of their points are poor because they talk about what atheists can/cannot believe. The only thing atheists cannot believe in is a god (which should be obvious).
1. "atheists cannot believe there is purpose and meaning in life"
While I can't speak for all atheists, I believe my life has been given more meaning when I lost belief in a god. To believe in a god, your life only exists as a mere pawn for the amusement of a god. My purpose in life is to enjoy it to the fullest, and learn as much as possible about why I am here in the first place. The purpose of Christian life is to avoid hell.
2. "Atheists cannot believe that there is an objective moral law"
Atheists can believe whatever they wish, as long as they do not believe in a god. To be aware of any 'objective law' you would need to be able to view the world from an objective perspective, which is impossible.
3. "Atheists cannot believe they have freewill"
I believe (as an atheist) that I have freewill—just because humans are a part of "nature" does not mean that freewill is removed. If freewill can be understood as a natural process that does not remove the fundamental concept.
4. "To be an atheist you cannot believe that you can trust your reasoning"
Atheists DO trust their reasoning. Atheists trust their reasoning to such a great extent that they risk (according to the majority of people) spending an eternity in hell because of it. Atheists trust their ability to reason much more than Christians do—this should be obvious because Christians are sheep, and sheep don't reason...they follow.
5. "Atheists cannot believe in absolute laws of logic"
This seems like more of a point against Christianity than atheism.
6. "Atheism cannot account for absolute truth"
Perhaps because absolute truth cannot be seen through the lens of subjectivity. No one can account for absolute truth—it doesn't matter how much faith a person has—they are wrong if they believe that they can.
Atheists - Arrogant And Close Minded?
It's hard not to appear arrogant as an atheist.
Who Wants Atheist For Friends?
Any Christian that didn't want to be my friend because of my atheism can go to hell (pun intended).
CNN On Atheist Intolerance In America
Video Description — CNN's Delia Gallagher talks with atheists who say society has no tolerance for nonbelievers.
I would hate to be an atheist in that town.
Catholic Mother Gets Pissed When She Finds Out Son Is An Atheist.
I feel bad for atheists with parents like this one. Many Christians are close-minded and judgemental (sky is also blue), so coming out of the closet as an atheist can be a difficult thing. I'm just glad my mother didn't react that way when I told her, the only thing she did was become an atheist as well.
How to tell your Religious Parents you are Atheist/Agnostic
My family fell into the 'layed-back' group. After explaining my atheism to them, they started to think, and became atheistic as well. Many people continue to be religious because they know of no other alternative. Atheism is a perfectly reasonable position, which is why I believe that it should not be hidden. Atheists need to come out of the closet!
Confessions of a Former Christian
Many atheists (myself included) have a similar story. I have been an atheist for about 6 years now, however, before that I was an alter-boy at a Methodist church. Oh have the times have changed.

Intelligent design: In conversation with Atheist Derren Brown
The quality that most atheists (excluding your garden-variety herd-atheist) is their ability to think-outside-of-the-box. A mind incapable of thinking outside-of-the-box will not question held beliefs; they will also be unable to understand that even though humans make complex things by 'creating' them, that does not mean that complexity can only arise by 'creation'.

Evolution Is A Blind Watchmaker
Video Description:
In this video I deconstruct the broken watch straw man argument used by creationist / ID supporters to attack evolution. I had to pack a ton of information into this video so you WILL need to pause it periodically.
The basic premise of the argument is that a bunch of parts will never randomly assemble into the correct arrangement to form a properly functioning complex. Once again, creationists / ID supporters miss the basic concept of evolution entirely. No biologists believes, nor is there any evidence that complex systems form spontaneously in one fell swoop. That would be creation. Systems evolve through many intermediates, one step at a time, slowly building up the complexity.
Here I deconstruct their straw man argument. Basically, I simulate clocks as living organisms. Selective pressure is focused on their ability to accurately tell time. NO goal is imposed on the design (you can tell this because every simulation ends with a differently constructed clock). And it works. Clocks evolve through a series of transitional forms: Pendulum, Proto-clock, 1-handed Clock, 2-handed Clock, 3-handed Clock, and 4-handed Clock. Gradually the complexity is built up.
These labels I have assigned to the transitional forms have nothing to do with the simulation itself. They are names I assigned so that we could analyze what the population was doing. The clocks are just clocks, living in their world, trying to tell time as accurately as possible.
One thing I wanted to address but didn't have time in the video is how rapid the transitional period can be. In some simulations the population goes from pendulums to 3-handed Clocks in a hundred or so generations. And the transitions between the transitional forms are even more rapid, happening in about ten generations. Chances are none or a very limited representation of that transition will be preserved in the fossil record.
One thing I should add. The program does not draw the clocks. It maintains, mates, and simulates them, but the drawing must be done manually from the genome matrix.
The program is written in MatLab.
The hand rotations that begin with 86 are 86,000 not 86.000. When YouTube compressed the video it becam hard to tell a comma from a period.

Learn the facts, spread the truth, and most importantly, Think About It.
Even though I don't believe many creationists visit this website, hopefully some do, and are able to see just how stupid they appear when they use such arguments. Being an atheist is easy, it takes faith to believe in 'magic' explanation.
+1 atheists for presenting the best argument
-8,000 creationists for being bad arguers
<< Leader Of African-American 'Mega Church' Sodomy Allegations >>
This is hilarious, what a hypocrite. I think Ted Haggard was turned on after seeing those photos of that black guy, his eyes were all glazed over and he had that shit-eating grin like he was holding back and erection.
Atheists +1 for being awesome
Christians -5 for having hypocritical leaders.
Allegations
Creationism In The Classroom
"I believe that I give evolution a fair shake".
Any science teacher that doesn't "believe" in evolution—or any person in general—doesn't understand evolution. Perhaps atheists take their mental-freedom for granted; the core concepts of evolution are ridiculously easy to understand. Creationists are not free to even think about the possibility of evolution because it destroys their world view, which brings on fear of hellfire. It must be hell to be a mental prisoner of religion.
"How can like, and African American person evolve from a white person...we're different skin."
I don't know if it was just his southern accent or what, but I found that to be funny as hell (no pun intended).
Painfully Stupid Anti-Gay Commercial "I'm Confused"
It's funny how people actually invest money in making commercials protesting a group of people. What do Christians expect gays to do? Mass suicide? I refer to 'Christians' as being the ones behind this because I have yet to run into an atheist that opposes gay-marriage—even though they are probably out there.
Imagine If All Atheists Left America
I bet that if all the atheists left America, this country would go third-world relatively quickly. Atheists (the intelligentsia) are taken for granted.
Atheists Excel in Religious Knowledge While Christians Don't (CNN)
This will only surprise Christians. Atheists tend to know much more about religion in general because of a higher intelligence, and a higher desire to understand the truth.

Video Description — Family guy animator Seth Macfarlane on Real Time with Bill Maher on atheism and a short gag about gay rightsLike Seth pointed out (jokingly), just because a person supports gay rights, does not mean that they are gay themself. Clips Of Hannity On Atheism (Fox "News")
Hannity is such a ignorant man—the perfect qualities for someone wants a show on Fox "News".
Also, just because Christians may give more donations means only that they believe that by doing so secures a spot in paradise for them after death. The motives here are not generous, they are selfish. If Christians believed that the act donating increases the chance of going to hell, they would probably be even less generous than atheists/agnostics. This is like your stereotypical bad child that is only good around Christmas to get presents—the kid is not good—just psychopathic. One thing that is for certain, when an atheist donates to a charity they are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, not because of delusional beliefs.
Atheist Know More about God and Religion Than Believers (No Real Suprise)
Video description — By Mitchell Landsberg, Los Angeles Times

It is a sad reality that atheists tend to know more about religious belief than those actually engaged in it. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.
Family Guy's Peter Griffen On 72 Virgins In Heaven.
This is why it is a bad time to be a virgin with all the suicide bombings in the Middle East. Everyone must make sure to not die a virgin, otherwise you will be sent to Muslim heaven! (a fate worse than hell).
Atheist Comedian On 72 Virgins in Heaven
Imagine blowing up a hospital expecting to have 72 virgins and getting raisins instead. Poor martyrs, all that sexual repression and violence only for raisins. I bet if instead of 72 virgins, Muslims believed in the 'raisin translation', suicide bombings would be reduced if not eliminated—this shows the "pure" religious mentality of Muslim fundamentalists. Muslim martyrs do not have too much faith, they have too much sex hormone with not enough brains.
Atheist Comedian Eddie Izzard vs.Creationism
"Creationism is f@!king magic". The disturbing thing is that many believe that creationism is a good rebuttal in evolution "debate".
"Comedian" Dane Cook Talks About Atheists
Even though I am obviously an atheist, this was pretty funny. He does however have an inaccurate perception towards atheists—like many do. Not all atheists believe that they "return to the earth" when they die. This is due to the fact that atheism itself does not address what happens after death—that is up to the individual to ponder. Atheism is not a belief; to be an atheist one must not possess one single belief.
Bill Hicks on Creationism And Christianity
Bill Hicks was so far ahead of his time; I bet he made people very uncomfortable in his day. Greatest atheist comedian of all time?
/\< Lewis Black Explains The Jewish Religion And Faith (A Must Watch) >/\
Send this video to all of you religious friends. Lewis Black is one of my all-time favorite stand-up comics...and it isn't hard to figure out why.
I wonder how many other Jewish-Atheists are out there.
Born Again Christian Stephen Baldwin vs Atheist Richard Dawkins
The fact that Mr. Baldwin even asked such a question shows that he has not even researched evolutionary theory. The concepts Richard Dawkins was referring to at the end of the video are very basic—so basic that anyone in a 7th grade biology class should understand. Stephen Baldwin was probably too busy smoking weed in the boys bathroom during that class. Got Wikipedia?
I suppose not believing in evolution is a person's choice—even though it is highly irrational and probably due to some inhibiting superstitious belief. At the very least do some research on the topic if you plan on debating it. Don't use the argument "if we came from monkeys, why are monkeys still here?". If you do, you will sound like an ignorant jackass.
Fox News Dumbest Anti-Atheist Question of the Month?
So I guess atheists don't worship the dead because 'we don't believe in life after death'. Which isn't the case at all. Just because a person does not believe in a god, does not mean that they don't believe in life after death. For example, many Buddhists would be considered atheistic (because they don't believe in a god), but they do believe in reincarnation.

<<< Proof That Jesus Is a Myth!!!! >>>

Prove That Jesus Is Imaginary in Less Than 5 Minutes
So yeah..I tried it..and it didn't work.... big f@cking suprise!
+1 point to atheism!
5 Reasons God Exists!?!
I believe that the maker of this video genuinely believes that valid points were made. The problem here is that God does not account for any of the mentioned phenomenon either. For example, I could claim that an army of cosmic-gnomes engineered the universe, having just as much evidence to back it up. Claiming that God is the only explanation for the universe is to answer a question with question.
Often creationists use the arguement that the universe is fined tuned for human life. This universe was not 'made' for humans; humans evolved specifically to exist within the universe. For the 'fine-tuned' universe argument to support creationism it would need to be non-applicable to the other side (which it is).

Atheist Christopher Hitchens Debates a Muslim on Free Speech and Stomps Him.
This guy had no idea what he was getting himself into. You can't have your cake and eat it to; Muslims want freedom of speech, but others to not have it whom disagree with Islam. If Muslims around the world want the privilage of having freedom of speech and be able to live in the modern world, they must conform to our way of doing things—not the other way around.

The New Atheists are Not Intellectually Bright? (writers like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Christopher Hitchens)
http://www.reasonablefaith.org - William Lane Craig mentions many atheists today (like Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, etc.) whose books are unsophisticated, intellectually shallow, and an embarrassment in the field of philosophy.
This guy is butt-hurt that guys like Richard Dawkins and Hitchens get better book sales then he could ever dream of getting. The existence of a God is not a philosophical question, it is a scientific one. Philosophy has much more to do with purpose of being—along with constructing pleasurable subjective perceptions—than it does for answering any real tangible questions. Philosophy is the religion of the intellectual-elite whom are looking for meaning without appearing stupid both to themselves and others.
As a side note...

Ted Haggard on Larry King Live To Talk About Sex Scandal
He says he is a straight guy with "complications". But anyone with gay-dar knows he's lying. The real 'complication' is that he believes that he will go to Hell if he has butt-sex with men. He is afraid to be gay, he is afraid to be himself. He is obviously psychologically messed up. You would never want to run into him in a dark-ally; you would wake up with a stretched out anus and back covered in aids-infested-baby-batter. Richard Dawkins - "What if you're wrong?"
Dawkins is great at making Christians look silly. The problem with Christians—such as the one in this video—is that they assume that their position is true just as long as it can not be disproved. Christians keep their heads up their ass and assume it is others responsibility to remove it.

'Sesame Street' Pulls Katy Perry Duet With Elmo For Being Too Sexy
Apparently parent complaints caused 'Sesame Street' to take out the duet. It is ridiculous to think that children that young would even notice the extra bit of cleavage. It is okay for you to allow your child to suck on your breasts, but not okay for them to see a mostly covered up breast on 'Sesame Street'? (the point being that's not sexual for the child in either case). It's not like these kids have never seen that sort of thing before anyways, people wear revealing clothing like that all the time on TV and on the streets. As a side note - the sky is blue, and Katy Perry is hot.
Guy Gets Caught Masturbating At Work
"who'd you f@cking send that to?" ...Only if he knew it would be on YouTube with over 2 million views. The lessen here is that when you 'choke the chicken' at work you ALWAYS look for cameras. I guess getting caught masturbating at work is "disgusting" but sticking your finger in your butt and touching all the work-related stuff isn't. This guy was probably doing this for awhile getting caught which is the funniest thing. He should have known that the smell of ass and baby batter was going to give him away sooner or later. I shouldn't joke about this however, the kid has probably commited suicide already.

It seems that Scientology is only effective at inflating Tom Cruises ego. I wonder what kind of drugs Mr. Cruise was on when this video was shot (and where can I get some?). Terrifying Muslim Demographics
If this video is correct, then we are in for some rough times in the future. Why is this scary? Well, it is scary for those that love things like freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. Islam is just as much of a political doctrine as much as it is religious. Perhaps—while their are none at the moment—Muslim moderation will eventually come into being. Why do I say that there is no moderation in Islam? Well, what we refer to as a "moderate" Muslim would be considered fundamental by most standards of judging... let's say a Christian. I believe that it must be figured out as to why Muslims are immigrating and reproducing as they are in order to preserve our culture. Obviously I'm not calling for genocide or war, but our culture is something worth fighting for.

Solution To World Hunger: My Cruel, Yet Effective Strategy
World hunger is a major problem in the world. These people tend to be very unproductive coupled with all the money they leech off the modern world. It sound extraordinarily cruel for me to suggest that we stop feeding them—however that would be a much more effective strategy than the one being employed at the moment.
I will admit, it is sad to see children starving to death, but giving them enough food to merely survive will cause them to have—let's say 4 or so children who will be in the same boat. The act of keeping that original child alive by donating it some food caused 4 more lives to live in such torturous conditions. By feeding the starving in third-world countries we are perpetuating the problem. These places have a problem, yet we at the moment are treating a symptom. These people are obviously not going hungry because they are going hungry, they are going hungry because their economy is unable to support that many people. Essentially their numbers must decrease. Now, I'm not saying that we should let them all starve (that however would get the job done), but instead we need to put our money solely in sterilization programs.
The problem is not starvation for countries like Ethiopia, it is overpopulation; feeding them more only worsens the problem. The only effect our feeding them has had thus far is that it has allowed more of them to reproduce, so now we have more starving people.
Kids Should Be Spanked More (or shocked?)
Now, I'm not saying that kids should be beaten to a pulp from forgetting to take the garbage out. Punishment should be feared by children, and spanking is a great form of punishment. Kids need to learn to obey authority, if they are not, they will be in for a rough life when they do end up leaving their mothers basements. I see it like this, if kids are not taught how to obey rules when they are young, they will be much less likely to obey rules when they are adults. As said previously, I am not condoning child abuse. However, the strategy of "talking things out" is not as great as we would like to think. Talking all by itself makes many things a debate between child and adult, and this here destroys the hierarchical authority that the parents should posses over their child. Children are not afraid of words that are backed by nothing more than more words. Not using spanking is like not backing a currency with precious metals. As time passes, people view a unit of currency as having less and less value over time, this is due to a lowering of appreciation for that said unit. The same is the case for discipline, 90% of the time talking to the child is a good putting them back in line—however if the words are not backed up by a real, tangible punishment, they have very little power. Pain is a good thing, it is our greatest teacher in life, and it is a great tool to teach boundaries.
Another idea for punishment—if spanking is viewed as excessively violent (even though it really isn't)—would be to use a tool that produces a light shock equaling the pain of a well-balanced slap on the buttocks. I believe that kid shockers should be used not only by parents, but as a form of discipline in schools as well. I say, instead of wasting an hour in detention, a good shock or two with the proper voltage will make any kid think twice before skipping class only to get an extra study hall at the end of the day.
I know people are not going to agree with me at all on this issue. Keep in mind that it is the job of society to keep its citizens in line, and pain is the natural teacher of boundaries. I also think shocking should be used to teach pets proper behavior as well. Remember, pain is the greatest teacher we have, let's use it! :)

Extreme Feats Of Testicular Fortitude!
(caution - viewing may cause reoccurring nightmares involving penis injury)
Disclaimer: This website claims no responsibility for the actions of its readers.
This must be some secret Asian penis-enlarging technique. They say desperate times call for desperate measures, but should Asian men really be THAT desperate? For all of you guys out there that wish to show off in this way I say go for it. Even though evolution disproves of such behavior, at least you will have found out just the amount of weight it takes before your Johnson decides to split ways.
If you do really want to try this, I suggest you do everyone a favor and start off with lighter weights ..say 500 pounds...and work your way up from there. But remember, this website claims no responsibility for the actions of its readers. Have fun :)

Using Koran Toilet Paper = Hate Speech?
(Disclaimer — this website does not support the use of the Koran as ass-tissues)
I found this video on the internets. I wonder if using a Koran as toilet paper is considered to be hate-speech? I'm not claiming to support or not support the use of Korans as toilet paper, but it is undeniable that many people are using the Muslim holy-book as such. Are the people that prefer the durable-Koran-toilet-paper, bigots?
Hypothetically, let's say that I was very poor. I ran into this Muslim was giving away free Korans (not literally). I needed to release my bowels, but was unable to afford toilet paper. Would it be bigoted for me to wipe away the remains of my fudge-dragon on Koran pages? Considering that the paper itself is not viewed as holy by the Muslims—not even the words can be considered holy—otherwise that would be a form of idolatry (it would be the worshiping paper/Muhammad's word and not Allah himself). In other words, to show love and adoration towards a book is to worship it, so obviously no Muslims would do such a thing...right guys?

German Brother And Sister Practice Incest
Hitler must be turning in his grave. Anyways, that greasy lawyer said that "incest is not socially harmful". If incest is not considered to be 'socially harmful' than what is? We have moral predispositions for a reason. Regardless, the lawyer (to no surprise) is full of shit—the fact that so many children of incestuous parents have disabilities shows that it does harm society. Depending on how the child is disabled, society may have to shell out a lot of money in order to keep its less-productive/unproductive life going. 99.9% (obviously less in the southern states) view incest as grotesque. This shows that it is hardwired into our minds that incest is a no-no because of the damage caused to the genes when two people that closely related reproduce. This is the same hard-wiring that makes us dislike murderers and rapists (people that harm human survival as a social species).
I'm going to take the controversial stance and oppose incestual relationships! Who's with me?
Evidence That Jesus Was A Mushroom?
So was Jesus a shroom? Did Christianity just become a much more fascinating religion? It would be funny if Christians took a shroom instead of a cracker and wine. That would surely get more people into church. Legalizing mushrooms for religious purposes in church would surely "convert" many atheists. Sarcasm aside, if Jesus wasn't a mushroom, than the writers were certainly eating them when they came up with their nonsense.
Not All Babies Are Cute: Incest (viewer discretion advised)
(caution — video is disturbing, and no dead baby jokes in the comments either)
Apparently the parents of this baby were related (I'm assuming brother and sister...but perhaps even first cousins). That is according to the video description at least. Anyways it is cases like this which make me rethink my pro-life position. I think that it is a crime against humanity to allow this baby to have been born in such a state. While many will disagree with that, you must look at it from the babies point of view, understanding the amount of physical and psychological suffering that will be endured. It is torture to have allowed it to live.

Handicapped Man Gets Raped In Supermarket
For Hip Hop News & Entertainment at DimeWars.Com
I found this story today and thought I would share it. Poor guy was just trying to take a piss and then he gets sexually assaulted by some black guy. What is this world coming to? Shame there is no hell for that guy to go to. Not that anyone deserves to get raped, but life sucked enough for this guy as it is. The fact that he is virtually defenseless against being sexually assaulted in public bathrooms must be the cherry on the sundae. Hopefully this guy gets caught/has been caught. If this guy is targeting wheelchair-bound men in public bathrooms, perhaps handicapped men should start using the buddy-system when using the bathroom.

Bill Gates: The End of Textbooks as We Know Them
Would be so nice to just carry around an I-pad or w/e than all those big-ass textbooks that are thick enough to bludgeon a person to death with. Bill also mentioned something about this being 'free'; I'll believe that when I see it, in a capitalist economy not even fecal matter is free (non-dairy/beef farmers actually pay for cow shit to use as fertilizer, true story). I feel that within 20 years, we be virtually paper-less—poor lumberjacks.

The BBC Interviews Two Stoning Apologists, Silences Maryam Namazie
I think stoning is getting way too much hate. I mean, isn't stoning in the Bible as well? Christians should be supporting the practice of stoning (which composes the majority of the United States). We should bring stoning back. Not to get off track here, but I believe that stoning should be used in cases of child molestation—even though the Catholic Church would be obviously against it—it would certainly be a good deterrent for the crime. The death penalty is too painless now-a-days, it should be something to be feared. I would rather have a painless death than to spend a life in prison getting sodomized by Bubba.
Anyways, while I do believe adultery should not be a capital offense, this lady knew full-well that cheating on her husband carried such a consequence. If you want to live in a country like Iran, you shouldn't be surprised when you act like a murderous-whore and get sentenced to death. Just like how I wouldn't go to Iran as a tourist and protest Islam. In other words, it is common sense: don't take candy from strangers, and don't commit adultery/murder in Iran. I suppose it is possible that the conffestion was gotten through manipulation. Perhaps she didn't kill her husband. However, I do not believe this is the case for two reasons:
1. Husband is probably dead (would be all over the news if he wasn't)
2. No evidence at all that the confession was fake.
This story seems to be completely political. I mean, this woman (as far as we know) killed her husband. While we are unaware of the details—perhaps abuse motivated her actions—regardless that isn't much of a defense. Iran has zero motivation to lie about her adultery (they would be able to execute her just on the murder charges alone). The death penalty should not be something a person looks forward to as an escape, it should be feared. The best way to scare people is with the concept of physical pain.
Also, 'Moral relativism' is bullshit; there are certain cultures that promote human well-being more so than others. Naturally 'moral behavior' is behavior which is beneficial in the eyes of a society as a whole—it is an objective thing. Sorta like how feeling pain is unpleasant and being happy feels good (excluding a few psychologically messed up folks). Women in a country like the United States probably have a better well-being than in a country like Iran. So it is okay to claim that their "morality" is indeed inferior.
Got Roids?
Now, I know what your thinking, but you can't say that ALL bodybuilders are d-bags. Well, maybe you can say it, and you may be right, but it isn't very nice thing to say. This video here is proof of why steroids should be legal in the United States. Why? Well, it would certainly make people think twice before cutting someone off in traffic (they would get beat to death by their own car). Also we have to think about the fat children that want an easy way to get into shape. If everyone was on steroids, then wouldn't it be like nobody was on steroids? Baseball would have an even playing field again. Plus it would make Canada look like even bigger pussies (or smaller? meh). Write your local representative today!

Vatican On Adultery-Stoning In Iran (Yahoo News)
Recently on Yahoo News (written by Associated Press) there was a story on the Vatican's protest of Iran condemning an adulterer to death by stoning. This is no real surprise being that the official stance of the catholic church is anti-death penalty. Without getting too drawn into the details of this story (which can be read here), the reason I am blogging about this—along with all 'Yahoo News stories' is for the extraordinary comments. Enjoy!

Turd Stealing Elephants?
(Caution: video is disturbing, do not eat meatloaf while viewing)
When I first seen this on YouTube, I wondered why an elephant would go turd-mining like that. I, at first thought that this was a lone, psychologically disturbed elephant—but then I found this...
(Warning - May cause nightmares involving rectal-thieving elephants. Viewer discretion is advised)
Weird huh? I hope I have provided enough footage to make all my readers fearful of turd-stealing elephants. Is it possible that elephants will turn to stealing poo from humans? All I can say is that elephant trainers don't make nearly enough money. You may be asking yourself: "aw, is there no more videos of elephants eating poo?" Nope! Here is another!!..
(disclaimer - do not attempt at home)
I would like to apologize if I have ruined your love for elephants. Not all elephants are turd-burglars...yet.
So why is it that elephants love to recycle their food?

Our Failing Education: A Need For School Uniforms
A major problem with our schools is that we allow children to dress themselves. This creates many problems and has no obvious benefits. There exists many reasons for why allowing kids to go to school wearing their street-clothes is a problem. Many of my readers will probably disagree with me on this issue. They will claim: "it allows kids to be creative and individualistic". However, those points and ones like them miss 'the forest full of trees' when comes to this issue.
The first thing that I would like to point out is the social aspect. Being the social creatures that we are, we obviously place a great emphasis on social interaction. Naturally the state of students social-world is of the utmost importance to them; while this is not entirely a bad thing, it must not be excessively distracting.
Being that all of us have/are going to school, we all know how much time is spent thinking about the clothing we are wearing along with the clothing others are wearing. For many children (especially girls) clothing becomes an unhealthy obsession with appearance. This is why I see clothing as one of the great reasons for why children and young adults are particularly unempathetic compared to past generations. You may be thinking that my claim of an empathetically-retarded generation is ridiculous—if this is the case, then I urge you to read up on it (click me!).
Empathy is unarguably a very important attribute. I don't believe many would disagree that empathy can be strengthened or weakened based upon one particular cognitive discourse versus another. I remember buying this old highschool year book from the 1930s. Everyone had basically the same clothing and hairstyle. While they lacked superficial complexity—according to studies—they had more empathetical intelligence. Now why is this? Well, as previously eluded to, I believe that it is the obsession with physical appearance in general that has caused this phenomenon.
Hypothetically if all students were to wear the same style of clothing, then they would be forced to engage more of their mental capacity towards learning, and perhaps even better: their minds would engage more in empathetical-type thoughts by default (being that less thought is being wasted on the physical appearance of the self and others). While this suggestion is not a cure-all, it is certainty a step in the right direction to rid ourselves of the plague of shallowness that is causing (or at least contributing) great psychological harm to our society (anxiety, empathetical retardation, narcissism, self-esteem issues, depression, phobias, and so on).
Not yet convinced? Well, have you ever been bullied? Another thing which plagues our schools (and society) is bullying. I believe that bullying is caused—at least in part—by excessive contemplation of hierarchical dominance. While this will not end by merely getting school uniforms—it will at least make it much harder for the bullies to pick out flaws—being they typically attack the physical appearance. Having school uniforms would free students from the tyranny of the fashion police. The notion of having school uniforms seems on the surface to be very controlling, however that control is only physical, mentally it would be liberating. Students (girls especially) would not have panic-attack levels of anxiety over their physical appearance, thus reducing stress, improving mental focus, and so on. Students should not have to worry about what they look like at school, they should be worried about learning.
A lack of conformity in appearance causes students to create a perception that it is okay to treat others differently based upon what their physical appearance is. This is obviously harmful for the well-being of some students, who, for example, may not have the richest of parents. Such a cognitive discourse deprives the mind of deep thought which perpetually causes and is caused by a shallowness that seems to have enveloped our culture. The only way to liberate ourselves from this shallowness is to eliminate it at the source.
School is not playtime, it should be a place of work. Hierarchies based upon how rich a kid's parents are should be fought against if we desire equal opportunities for all. Some will claim that conformity in clothing will harm creativity and individuality (as stated before). But is it really that great to have students judge their own and others worthy based upon physical appearance? Can't that creative intelligence that all students possess be harnessed in more productive ways?
Not having school uniforms trains students to be self-centered and superficial. This is the consequence for socially pressuring students into worrying about how their clothing stacks up with others. While this may seem redundant, it is an important point: if all students wore the same clothes, kids would judge others based less upon looks, which generates increased levels of intellectualism in the place of superficiality.
As a side note: if we really want to cut down on school-aged kids using drugs, school uniforms are an obvious tool. Being that drug-use and high levels of stress go hand-in-hand, to lower drug use we need to lower the stress we put on students. Being overly stressed causes students to feel as if they need a way to escape reality. And obviously the stress caused by clothing is completely unnecessary.
