Thunderf00t: 'Tolerance' and the 'Ground Zero Mosque'
Thunderf00t's opinion on this is right in line with mine. A lot of PC Nazis take the belief in freedom of expression too far and are blinded by hateful nature of the NYC mosque. The mosque could very easily be built in another location, however there is something special to Muslims in that particular area—I wonder what that is....
While in this country we do have freedom of expression—the actions of the Muslims here is clearly hate-speech. For example, if the KKK wanted to build a headquarters in the middle of Harlem, they would not be able to do so because the motivation behind building it would be primarily to rub salt into the wounds of black people. The Muslims that want the mosque built in that particular spot see it more important to disrespect the victims than to acclimate themselves to our sensitive discourse. It seems as if they desire a hostile relationship with all non-Muslims here, which really is no surprise. Respect is a two way street.

Awkward Questions about Jesus (Funny YouTube Video)
While this is obviously staged it is very telling of the reality of indoctrination. I remember being very young (probably around the age of the kids in this video) and hearing similar questions in Sunday school. This natural skepticism is crushed early on by fears of hellfire and the intimidation of authority. All children are skeptics, it is up to the adults to crush that skepticism as soon as possible if they want to indoctrinate them. It cannot be argued that skepticism is a very good thing for a child to have, it helps them keep the bullshit out. Skepticism should be embraced, attempts to destroy it should be considered a form of psychological abuse, being that it essentially is. It is sad when the ideas of adults can't stand up to the skepticism of children.

It's incredible how unevolved some societies are. We live in the 21st century and we have people that think that carving holes into a person's skull will cure them of brain cancer? Yikes
Should the western world allow this destructive practice to continue? Or should we respect their medical ignorance?

Muslim Disney Worker (Yahoo News)
On Yahoo News (written by Associated Press) there was a short news story about a Disney worker by the name of Imane Boudlal that refused to remove her 'hijab'. A hijab is a piece of cloth that a Muslim puts on their head. Anyways, according to the story Disney offered an alternative headscarf-thing that would satisfy the employee's belief in wearing a piece of cloth in order to make an invisible man happier, along with the clothing requirements of Disney employees. She refused to wear it, and referred to the offer as 'making a joke of her religion'.
Is Disney making a joke of Islam? Is Islam just a joke? I suppose only Allah knows (meaning nobody knows). Please keep in mind, I am not implying that Islam is a joke, I am simply asking questions here.
This woman has a lot of arrogance to think that Disney should change their policy to accommodate her. Before applying for this job, she should have researched what the job entails. If you can't manage to do the job (which includes following the dress code) don't apply for the job. This sounds painfully obvious, but people like to play stupid in order to win money from a lawsuit.
Imagine if a person named Bob had a religion which prohibited him from touching wood—believing that the touching of wood is pure evil. Bob applied for a job working as a lumberjack.
Should:
A) The logging company be responsible for 'accommodating' Bob's beliefs?
Or
B) Should Bob find a job that doesn't involve touching wood?
While this make-believe religion is nothing like Catholicism, for example—which accommodates a priest's desire to touch as much wood as they want—that is neither here nor there. The point here is that that Imane Boudlal should stop being such a drama queen and should find another job that pays $10 an hour that will allow her to wear that cloth thing on her head.
As with all the Yahoo News Stories I put up, here is a link to the story: Yahoo News. And here are some of the user comments...

God's Perfect Creation: Sheep Born With Human Face
Strange how the sheep's face looks remarkably like that of a human. Was this sheep's mother a victim of surprise buttsecks by a farmer? I believe this video sheds some light on why there are so many religious sheep in the south. Lesson here is: don't have sex with sheep. I know what you're thinking: "stopping people from Alabama from having sex from sheep is harder than teaching a hamster calculus". My solution would be to create a vasectomy for beer program.
>>>Disclaimer: Not all people from Alabama have sex with sheep. In-fact, many of them abstain from bestiality completely.<<<

Not All Babies Are Cute: Anencephalic Baby
(Caution: video is disturbing, do not eat or drink while viewing).
God needs to lay off the acid when creating babies.
Anencephaly is a cephalic disorder that results from a neural tube defect that occurs when the cephalic (head) end of the neural tube fails to close, usually between the 23rd and 26th day of pregnancy, resulting in the absence of a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp. Children with this disorder are born without a forebrain, the largest part of the brain consisting mainly of the cerebral hemispheres (which include the neocortex, which is responsible for higher-level cognition, i.e., thinking). The remaining brain tissue is often exposed—not covered by bone or skin. (Wikipedia).

This video pretty much speaks for itself. The lady got pissed off because they couldn't serve her some McNuggets. McNuggets aren't even that good; if it were BK's ribs then I could understand, but McfuckinNuggets?? Let's pray to Darwin this "person" doesn't/hasn't reproduced.

Floating Wind Farms In The Ocean?
This is an interesting idea, I just wonder how these things would react to storms. I would much rather have a ton of these out in the ocean than a bunch of oil rigs (aka: ticking oil volcanoes).
Obama A Secret Muslim? (Yahoo News Comments)
An article on Yahoo News (written by Associated Press) had an article which discussed a poll on President Obama's religion. The story discusses how a larger percentage of those polled believe that Obama is a Muslim than previously; also more people claim to not know what Obama's religion is. Without getting into the actual numbers (you can check it out by clicking here: Yahoo News), I find it interesting how effective the right's propaganda is, especially that of FOX "News". The main reason that more people believe that Obama is a Muslim, or in other words, the reason why we have this increase is attributed to Obama supporting the construction of the Ground-Zero Mosque. If you haven't seen it, check it out...
While I disagree with Obama on condoning the building of this mosque, him doing so in no way makes him look like a Muslim. His actions make him seem more secular than anything, being that the reasons he gave for supporting it were religious freedom etc. I believe him supporting the Mosque shows more than anything that he is probably not a staunch believer, and probably more of an agnostic or deist (perhaps even an atheist).
Here are some of the Yahoo comments posted that caught my eye for rather being stupid, funny, bigoted...well, you get the idea.
(disclaimer: this site is not claiming to support or condone any of the following opinions, they are being posted for entertainment purposes only).
Is Obama a Muslim? I don't believe he is, I think that the increase in poll numbers is a product of FOX "News". Here is a video showing just how "fair and balanced" they are...
FOX likes to ask "questions" in order to imply some false piece of information for political spin. It is impressive how well they are able to do it. CNN/MSNBC/ABC needs to start taking notes, Republicans do not have a monopoly on stupid/gullible people...or do they?

"How many times must the media try to clarify his religion. Obama says he is christian, but hangs out and caters more to Muslims. Obama bowed to a Muslim King. No american President is to bow before any king. what ever the case, OBAMA STINKS!"Here are a few rational responses that I am not afraid to openly agree with...
"If it looks like a moslem, talks like a moslem and walks like a moslem, then regardless of protests to the contrary it is a moslem....and Barack Obama is a moslem."
"I'll ask again! Are there any Japanese Resturants at Pearl Harbor?"
"Liberal lies about him again. He was born in Kenya and he is a muslim. All his actions and statements prove he is--end of argument!!!!."
"He was born to a black African and a mentally ill white communist, and raised by a muslim. His african centered, supposed christian, church hates America. He don't even know what he is! He knows that he doesn't know what he is. All I see is a smooth talking colored boy with big ears who has never had a real job that produced anything of any use.
He is the perfect figure head for a nation that has lost its identity and is descending into third world status."
"If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, chances are its a Muslim."
"No Christian bows to a Saudi king plain and simple. This POS is a Moslem. Do a video search and hear from his own mouth. Wake up America."
"Actually he's neither...Communists don't believe in GOD."
"Anyone who really cares whether or not he's a Muslim or a Christian or an atheist must not have much of a life if they can really spend time and energy worrying about this kind of @#$%.
Seriously, grow up, people. There's a whole world outside of religion. It's lovely, and involves no nasty bickering and meaningless, pointless accusations. There's about as much wrong with Obama being a Muslim as there is him being a Christian.""The fact is: The President is an Atheist. Those who don't already know this just have not been paying attention. like all American politicians, he panders to American superstitions for political reasons. Votes.“Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the politicians as useful.” Seneca 3 Bc- 65Ad"

Idolatry: Believers Are Hypocrites
This blog entry is directed towards all whom believe that idolatry is a sin (e.g. Christians, Muslims, Jews). For those that are unfamiliar with the term, the definition is below...
It appears—by definition—impossible for any believer in a god to not commit idolatry. For example, in the majority of churches, Christians idolize an image of Jesus being executed. I'm sorry Christians, but having that plastic statue (or whatever they happen to be made of) is an obvious form of idolatry. It typically is the center piece of the worshiping session. Not only this, but pretending to eat Jesus' flesh and blood (in the form of wine and crackers) is worshiping an idea—which is another form of idolatry. Remember that story of the golden calf that made Moses go ape-shit? He was pissed off because they were committing idolatry. These are just a few of several examples of idolatry found within Christianity.
It is probably safe to say that Christians are the worst sinners when it comes to idolatry—but Muslims and Jews certainly do it on a regular basis as well. For example, let's look at that oh-so-precious holy-land that these two seem hell-bent on fighting over. I'm talking of course about Israel. To believe that a piece of land is holy is to worship it—which is a sin for both Jews and Muslims. Not convinced that fighting over Israel because it is perceived as 'holy' is a form of idolatry? The primary definition of the word 'worship' is: "The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object." (Yahoo Education). The 'sacred object' is obviously the 'holy-land'. There are obviously countless examples of this. The funny thing is, nonbelievers are one of the few groups that do not commit the sin of idolatry.
Another form of idolatry is to worship an idea—or in other words, to give an idea "reverent love and devotion"; this is done all of the time by believers in Abrahamic religions. I'll be using Muslims in my next example. They worship the name of Muhammad as well as the historical figure he was (while at the same time worshiping the Koran and the idea of Allah). Both a person and an idea are being worshiped by Muslims making them hypocrites. Finding examples of idolatry is so very easy. The fact that words like Yahweh/God/Allah/Jesus etc. are meaningless to children unless taught about through indoctrination shows the hypocritical idolatry in action (as stated previously: worshiping an idea is idolatry).
Many believers forget that idolatry is a very serious offense. The purpose of this post was to make believers a little paranoid as well as to point out a major contradiction that exists within many of the world's religions. As a side note: no, I do not worship Darwin or Evolution, I simply recognize the historical and scientific relevance both have.
Idolatry is usually defined as worship of any cult image, idea, or object, as opposed to the worship of a monotheistic God. It is considered a major sin in the Abrahamic religions whereas in religions where such activity is not considered a sin, the term "idolatry" itself is absent. Which images, ideas, and objects, constitute idolatry, and which constitute reasonable worship, is a matter of contention with some religious authorities and groups using the term to describe certain other religions apart from their own (sometimes resulting in iconoclasm). --WIKIPEDIA

Tesslynn E. O'Cull - Child Abuse Victim
There are some fucked up people in the world. What they did goes completely against our biological wiring. I believe that all of the people who knew about this abuse should be punished as accessories. They knew of the crime, and could have prevented it. They were obligated to prevent it (by law), and covered it up by doing nothing and allowing the baby to be severely tortured and killed. New laws need to be put in place to give a severe punishment to those who know of child abuse but don't report it. I also believe that the death penalty should be changed as well. For crimes in which pain was inflicted an amount of pain 5 times greater (as far as time) should be administered. Pain is the ultimate form of punishment, and I believe it is not being utilized as it should be. Death row inmates, for example, get out of horrendous crimes by being executed painlessly. There are chemicals that can be injected into a person that creates the sensation of pain, without doing actual damage. This should be used in all violent crimes. The coziness of prison life is not much of a deterrent, this would be.

Obama Backs Mosque Near Ground Zero (YouTube)
I agree with Obama on the point that everyone should be free to practice their religion. However the Muslims motives in having their mosque built in that particular location seems suspect to say the least. Especially after the public outcry against it. It seems obvious (to me at least) that they are looking to send a message, otherwise they would simply relocate to another location to avoid the drama. Another reason that I am against the construction of this mosque is that it will be a target of terrorism. While many Americans would not see an attack against this building as "terrorism" it certainty would be. While this analogy is probably not all that politically correct, and I am not claiming that Muslims are bigots (even though many of them are)—building a mosque near Ground Zero is like the KKK building a headquarters in the middle of Harlem. I use this analogy because if the KKK were to do this, their motives would appear malicious, and conflict would seem inevitable. While everyone should have rights in this country, a mosque should not be built that close to the site were all those people died. If those victims were killed by people that just so happen to be Muslim, my position would be different. 9/11 happened because of the belief system—they perhaps had a violent version of Islam—some Muslims are peaceful (I think).
It's sad how those that are against the building of the mosque are thought of as being intolerant...
(Debate over the Mosque)
We should not be forced to be tolerant towards those that refuse to be tolerant towards us. Respect is a two-way street. It's clear that the Muslims who want this mosque built do not respect the victims of those who took Islam a bit too seriously. We as a country may have to learn the hard way that we can't be overly tolerant: doing that will cause a naivety which will lead to us getting bit in the ass by those who don't need to live-up to such politically correct standards.
I recall a video of a Muslim, in New York City, who was being interviewed. He states that as a Muslim he is "commanded to terrorize the disbelievers". Well here, check it out for yourself...
I don't care what belief system you have, you do not have the right to 'terrorize' those that don't believe in your goofy ideas. The guy in this video is a traitor to this country and the secular values it was built on. I believe anyone who makes treasonous statements (like supporting 9/11) should be punished for doing so. I suppose drawing cartoons of Muhammad is hate-speech, but supporting those that murdered thousands and believe that more terrorism should come to 'nonbelievers' is not.
Say No to Drugs & Say Yes to Free Legal Entheogens (YouTube: NeuroSoup)
The decriminalization of drugs is an interesting debate. On one hand drugs like meth, heroin, etc. should be illegal. However, just because a drug causes certain temporary/long-lasting psychological effects does not mean it should be made illegal. Drugs like weed, hallucinogenic mushrooms, LSD, and ecstasy—should, at least in my opinion—be legal. While these drugs may have some harmful effects, so does alcohol, cigarettes, fast food. And of course let's not forget sitting on our fat lazy asses using the computer for the majority of our waking hours while eating potato chips.
You can only live this life once, if things like mind altering drugs that can bring on 'spiritual' experiences and outside-of-the-box perspectives, I see no harm to society (it may even benefit it). We humans seek after drugs to achieve different states of consciousness for a variety of reasons; we should intelligently embrace this desire. Many citizens view altering consciousness as 'evil' due to a goal of 'religious moral conformity' within their society; there is no secular reason that many mind altering substances are illegal. If this country (the United States) were a theocracy, then perhaps religious views would be relevant, however it is not.
The law makers of the past that decided to make nearly all mind-altering substances illegal did not respect the separation of church and state. We must not respect their close-minded stupidity by pushing for the decriminalization of many relatively harmless drugs.
While I personally do not do any drugs (aside from the occasional alcoholic drink)—in a country that is suppose to be free, I should be able to smoke marijuana if I wanted to. If drugs like marijuana were made legal, I probably would try it out of curiosity, but I would probably not do it all that much (like drinking)—the point is that I shouldn't have 'big brother' telling me not to do something which is virtually harmless. This is what we get by having a two-party political system: both parties are fighting for power, which leads to obvious problems. I think I'm going to start voting for the third party candidates just out of principle—both the democrats and republicans are way too power-hungry. I consider them both to be enemies of the people, and as they say: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Well, I think that is enough ranting for today :P
Yahoo News Comments: Flood In Pakistan
The story claims that 1/5th of Pakistan is submerged. The relief effort is described as being 'sluggish'. That coupled with the only half a billion dollars the UN is looking to gather. This is certainly a tragedy; hopefully the world can step it up and start helping our fellow humans during their time of need. That aside, many of the comments I read on this story are—funny, disturbing, nasty, bigoted, stupid—well, you get the idea. Here is a list of the ones which stood out the most....enjoy ("enjoy" may not the right word):

"Since when does Muslim = terrorist? There are fundamentalists in every religion, INCLUDING Christianity. Don't forget the Crusades.
"Here's more food for thought - if you had grown up in Pakistan, do you think you would be a Christian? Or revert to Christianity, knowing only the religion of everyone around you?
Go pick up a National Geographic featuring Pakistan and educate yourselves, you pricks. You'll find not everyone lives in a world where voting actually works, or where human rights and thoughts are respected. And that has NOTHING to do with religion."

Toddler found with needles stuck in body
Only a complete dumb-ass would think it possible that this child swallowed the needles. Obviously some twisted scumbag (my guess would be the father) intentionally drove 50 needles into this poor child. It was mentioned that an explanation for this may be Black Magic. I would imagine all readers of this blog have at one time been pricked by a sewing needle or whatever; imagine having that needle shoved all the way in, and have that repeated 50 times. With the shear number of nerves in the human body—also being that a number of needles fall into highly sensitive areas—the amount of pain experienced here is virtually unimaginable. Hopefully the child will be unable to remember the torture; hopefully the trauma caused by this abuse does not linger in the psyche, even though it probably will.
Any person whom believes that sticking sharp metal objects into a child has 'magical' effects should be instantly sterilized and be removed from society. Motivations aside—it's too bad there isn't a hell for this person to go to.

"Woman Sat On Toilet For 2 Years": Constipation Much?
This is one of the oddest things that I've heard in a while. When you're skin starts to fuse to a toilet seat, it's probably time to give up and do something else. Make the shit wait for you, not the other way around.
Seriously though, it's unbelievable (or nearly so) that the boyfriend stayed with her, and that so much time elapsed before she was gotten help. Also, how in hell can the boyfriend be possibly criminally charged? Was he forcing her to stay in the bathroom? It appears that he wasn't...and it's not like she was a child that is being neglected she is an adult. Only in Kansas, right?
Staff Tackles and Chokes Deaf Shoplifter
I agree with this guy 100%.

Power Hunger of Religion
Religious organizations more times than not are extremely power hungry; it is this lust for power that fuels the ambitions of those that profit from it. There are some people whom genuinely fear that others are destined for hell—or destined to miss out on some grand reward and wish to "save" them. But these people are extraordinarily rare, and not all that significant as far as numbers go. There are a few reasons that the religions of today are so pushy with their beliefs. To propagate a religion the best concept to push is that the world would be a perfect utopia if everyone believes. First of all, wishing the world was perfect for you is extremely narcissistic. People that do all that they can to make the world conform to what they desire are empathetically-retarded (for PC Nazis: 'empathetically-disabled').
I, for example, may wish the world was a bit less religious—or at least that nonbelievers were equally respected (which we are well on our way of accomplishing). While this may seem hypocritical, it's not; I believe that people should be free to believe whatever they want, just so long as other people are not harmed by it (and I'm not only referring to 'physical harm'). And no, this website is not harmful at all to believers; with a name: 'Atheist Perspective' any believer that visits this site knows full well that their beliefs may be subject to scrutiny, thus making any hurt-feelings self-inflicted. Anyways, moving on...
As humans we all want power, power is by far the greatest motivation humans know. And it comes in many forms. Humans as individuals provide great power. This is the main reason for why religions seek to recruit more members. For example, when a church has 'empty pew syndrome' they are much more worried about the collection basket than saving souls from eternal damnation; but of course they would probably not openly admit to it. Is it a coincidence that when a church is able to fill their building and collection plates they lose much of their ambition to save souls from the merciless demons? The majority of religions are set up like a business. They offer a product (consolation and a feeling of belonging) in return for as much money as they can guilt out of people.
Let's say that the Catholic Church was donated 200 billion dollars. I would be willing to bet that much of that money would be used to make priest's already lavish life that much more comfortable. I'm sure the church would donate a few billion and then boast about how charitable they are. This is done to try to gain more donations and members—just like how many corporations donate money to charities get more business. This is done so people feel their money is going to good use. It's a great model that they have set up: people will typically only donate money and belong to organizations that they feel are doing 'the right thing'.
Hypothetically if a cap was put in place to drastically limit the wealth of religious organizations, they would become much less enthusiastic to gain members, and I would be willing to bet much less charity work would be done in general (referring to time spent doing charity work, not money which is obvious).
In closing, I think that it's time to make religions pay taxes on income and land. It's obvious that these organizations are in it for the power. Religion is big-business and it should not be tax-exempt.

L. Ron Hubbard: Story of a Profit.
I believe, in time, Scientology will eventually reign as being the no.1 or no.2 most popular religion in the world. This is because Scientology is much more compatible with a modern worldview than religions like Christianity. Scientology does fit with many scientific ideas—what it lacks is historical evidence more than anything. Don't get me wrong, I believe that the unprovable claims made by Scientology are bull. The only agreement I find with the religion is the concept of a soul and reincarnation (which are two concepts which I choose to believe in despite a lack of objective evidence). I suppose most people would consider me to be Buddhist-atheist; anyways, I would be willing to bet that Buddhism and Scientology will be the two main competing religions/belief-systems in a few thousand years. Human-beings are far from out growing the need for consoling beliefs. The more popular religions (primarily Abrahamic) have become all but obsolete with the growing contradictory-body-of-knowledge. While I hate to be redundant, religions that contradict science the least have the best chance of surviving. Fortunately this would not be horrible if it were to happen. Buddhism teaches peace and empathy; Scientology (while wacky)—as far as I am aware—is nonviolent.

Husain Abdullah: Fasting Football Player
Starting tomorrow (August 11, 2010) Husain Abdullah—a football player for the Minnesota Vikings, will be observing his religious beliefs by engaging in the Muslim practice of fasting during Ramadan. For the entire month he will not eat or drink fluids when the sun is out. As a football player who has to go to practices, this is obviously dangerous. It is fascinating how this guy will sacrifice his health and mental well-being because he believes his version of the 'all-powerful creator of the universe' desires him to suffer. One would bet that if Husain Abdullah was told that his god wanted him to have all his fingernails pulled off by pliers, that he would follow that ritual as well. Husain Abdullah was probably not told to fast by Allah—chances are he was told this by people who were told to fast by other people and so on. Husain's faith does not rest in the desires of a supreme being, but rather in the accuracy of claims made by fellow humans.
Fasting is common across many belief systems and in the right circumstances it can be a healthy thing to engage in—however this is not one of those cases. Not eating or drinking (drinking more-so than eating) when exerting that level of physical activity is just asking to be rushed to a hospital for severe dehydration and heat-exhaustion; because of this guy's superstitious beliefs, he is putting his life in jeopardy. While I personally am not all that concerned about this individual's health—I find it amusing how self-destructive some religious beliefs can be. It is fairly obviously that Husain Abdullah is just sheepishly obeying tradition, regardless of how irrational or self-destructive it happens to be. Along with harming himself with his religious beliefs, he is also harming his team as well. I believe this is reflective of the self-destructive nature of many religious beliefs (not exclusively Islam).
Does a supreme-being really exist that cares whether or not humans eat or drink during a certain rotational position of the earth during a particular time of year? Both the Christian god and Allah have many things in common—one of those being the enjoyment of human suffering—what a lousy target of human adoration. Perhaps we should start worshiping the aids virus or maybe cancer. If human suffering is such a great thing in the eyes of a supreme being then should we all fill our shoes with broken shards of glass while shoving needles into the tips of our fingers? Why is senseless pain viewed as a display of religious faith in so many of our belief systems? Is it because as humans we believe that it takes suffering to feel as if we have accomplished something? Is it the feel-good chemicals that get released in the mind during times of pain that make people believe they are doing something productive? Either way such belief systems are certainly strange to have in the 21st century, especially for people who live in a modern nation.
For example, what if I was to dip my hands into hydrofluoric acid to show the gnomes that I believe in them. How quickly after I enter the hospital explaining my religious beliefs would I be thrown into a mental institution and be force fed medication?

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

(Review) The World's First Digital Drug
The makers of this product make the following claims (claims quoted from the website @ www.binaural-beats.com):
I will admit, I don't know much about 'binaural beats' (what this product claims to utilize to give the user the effects). I checked Wikipedia to see what it had to say on the subject. According to Wikipedia:
So there appears to be some science to back up the claim that sound waves played at a slightly different Hz in each ear can affect the brain—in other words, 'binaural beats' are indeed capable doing what the makers of this product claim they can.
I listened to the product for the full hour while laying down in a meditative state (this was done before I did my "research" on binaural beats for this blog post). Before starting I was fairly stressed out, but once I got done the full hour I felt very calm and had great mental clarity, this came along with a feeling of euphoria. Being the skeptical person that I am—I did not expect this thing to work—I thought it was a scam. This is why it's hard for me to believe that this is just a mere placebo effect. I found that it is very effective in doing all that the makers claims it can do. I also found that it retained its benefits while listening to it as a person listens to music or an e-book. I feel very relaxed just chilling at my computer or working-out while listening to it. I recommend everyone try it out—it's definitely worth the money in my opinion.
- Boosting your mood, increased happiness
- Alert yet relaxed state of mind
- Inebriated feeling, without the alcohol or headache!
- Rocketing your visualization skills
- Increased confidence, getting rid of inhibitors
0.5 - 1.5 Hz - Endorphin release
0.9 Hz - Euphoric feeling
2.5 Hz - Production of endogenous opiates (pain killers, reduce anxiety)
4.0 Hz - Enkephalin release for reduced stress
10 Hz - Enhanced serotonin release. Mood elevation, arousal, stimulant
14 Hz - Awakeness, alert. Concentration on tasks
20.215 Hz - Brings about safe LSD-25 effects
30 Hz - Used for safe marijuana effects
33 Hz - Hypersensitivity, C. consciousness
38 Hz - Endorphin release
46.98 Hz - Visualization effects, when used with 62.64 & 70.47 Hz
I will admit, I don't know much about 'binaural beats' (what this product claims to utilize to give the user the effects). I checked Wikipedia to see what it had to say on the subject. According to Wikipedia:
Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove.
The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the loudness and sound localization of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject's ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequency of the tones must be below about 1,000 to 1,500 hertz for the beating to be heard. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (below about 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.
Binaural beats are of interest to neurophysiologists investigating the sense of hearing. Second, binaural beats reportedly influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brainwaves and can be used to reduce anxiety and provide other health benefits such as control over pain.
So there appears to be some science to back up the claim that sound waves played at a slightly different Hz in each ear can affect the brain—in other words, 'binaural beats' are indeed capable doing what the makers of this product claim they can.

Not All Babies Are Cute: Proof Against The Existence Of An All-Loving God.
>>>caution: do not watch if you are prone to vomiting and/or being a pussy <<<
Believers will try to twist themselves out of having to explain why their god isn't responsible for this. They will blame the parents: "they lived in sin and are being punished" etc. I believe it is safe to say the baby probably didn't commit any sins in the mother's womb. Rather God is a complete a-hole (which makes him/her/it not all loving), or there is no god.
Here are a few believers making 'God comments' on this YouTube video....
My favorite is when people say things like "god bless" after seeing this baby—it looks like the last thing any god is going to do is "bless" it. If there is a god it hates this baby with a passion.

Miaa1996: "wow ! thank GOD for what i have !"
MusicLover41797: "you are so right! I don want to say this but I hate all those people for being so rude and mean! they should be grateful they dont have ot live in these conditions! Cless this baby, and its family. And to think about the end, not 2012, but when God comes back to earth, he takes Christians and Christians only ot heaven. The rest literally go to hell. It's scary to think that he can come at any time and there are so many people that dont know him..."
supermanExtacy: "god bless that unlucky child"
ashmont32: "God bless"
Lawrencespade: "poor thing god bless"
Tazlushify: "You're cruel all of you burn in hell the poor thing didn't choose to look that way HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU LOOKED THAT WAY! And is a motherfucking miracle that that baby even survived your sick people!"

Ex-UFC Fighter Stomps Thug
>>>CAUTION THIS VIDEO CONTAINS VIOLENCE AND ISN'T SUITABLE FOR PUSSIES<<<
(If the video gets taken down from YouTube, here is a link: Ex-UFC Fighter Stomps Thug.)
Like most people, I'm glad this scumbag got his ass whooped. What I'm really curious about is what motivated him to it? From watching the video I'm willing to bet it was rather just for fun—or was over some really trivial matter—regardless, he obviously had no right hitting this woman (or any :P).
The main point here is: Never hit a women or ROGER HUERTA WILL FIND YOU AND WILL STOMP THE SHIT OUT OF YOU. Karma is a real phenomenon and as the saying goes: what comes around goes around.

Republicans Looking To "Review" 14th Amendment
The 14th amendment, or more specifically the 'birth right citizenship' is something which Republicans including John McCain are looking to "review". In other words, they want the children of illegal aliens to not be considered citizens, even if they were born in the United States. I hate to admit it, but I agree with Republicans here: I don't think that the children of illegal aliens should be considered citizens. Furthermore, I believe that anyone that is found to have entered the country illegally should be immediately deported to their country of origin.
I know what you're thinking "if this happens then millions of illegal aliens will have to be deported", I believe this would be a good thing. We have millions of illegal aliens, many of which are involved with illegal activity. Right off the bat we know that these people do not respect U.S. law, we also know that most of these people are poor. Now what do poor poeple that don't respect the law do? They often do things illegally to make a living. It is not easy to get a job as an illegal alien, while at the same time, a drug distributor isn't going to worry about it all that much. To allow illegal aliens to live in this country, and accept them as citizens only acts as a reward for successfully breaking our immigration laws. If we were to deport all non-citizens, that would be much more of a deterrent. We have immigration laws for a reason, people that wish to enforce these laws are accused of being bigots, when it is simply not the case. I personally could care less what color an illegal alien's skin is, or what country they come from, if they are here illegally, they need to be deported. If an illegal alien has children, then (in my opinion) the children should be deported as well.
Perhaps we can increase the number of legal immigrants we let into the United States—but as stated before—laws must be enforced, otherwise there is no purpose of having such laws in the first place. Deporting all illegal aliens would save the government billions of dollars; we are essentially paying for these people to be here, and they are heavily involved in crime and mooching off the system. I believe that their free ride should end here.
The only exception from this would be if it was a child's great grandfather (and beyond) that came to this country illegally. Then such people should be considered citizens. I also believe that perhaps we could do more to help countries like Mexico with their economy. If poorer (expecially neighboring) countries were able to improve their standard of living, then their citizens wouldn't be so eager to hop the border into our country.
People that have been bashing Arizona's new laws which only help the state better enforce the law are the most racist among us. They try to make the issue of illegal aliens a 'race thing' when it is not. Ever hear of the saying "only a thief will accuse somebody of stealing"? Being against the enforcement of immigration laws is unpatriotic. Supporting increases in legal immigration is patriotic. Although redundant: breaking laws should have consequences. For example, if murder was punished by a $100 fine, it would not be much of a deterrent, and people would be killing other people a lot more. The punishment must be proportional to the crime, and the only punishment that is proportional here, for those that entered the country illegally is to deport them. There isn't much of a debate here; we have many law breakers in this country when it comes to immigration and their crimes must be punished.

"The Devil Made Me Do It"
Using Satan as an excuse for bad behavior is one of the greatest scapegoats for Christians—or any other religious groups that believe in Satan (next to Jesus). It allows Christians (from here on out I will just refer to Christians to make it simpler) to ignore accountability for their immoral behavior by their standards or those excusing them.
For example, this father tortured his baby by putting it in a safe; then a refrigerator; after which he put the poor thing into a microwave causing severe burns, especially to the face. This is obviously very disgusting behavior. To make matters worse the wife stood by the husband claiming "Satan is responsible for my husband's behavior, it's not his fault" (paraphrasing). She stood by her husband, and in fact, is fighting to get her child out of the care of foster parents and back with her and her insane husband. This is just one example of Christians using Satan as justification to ignore wrongful behavior. There are obviously many problems with this sort of logic: first of all if Satan were real and he is to blame, then wouldn't an all-knowing/all-powerful God be equally responsible? It is sort of like seeing a person hanging on to the edge of a cliff. You walk up to the edge, becoming fully aware of the situation, the person cries out of your help, but you do nothing, and watch the person fall to their death. Christians in this case (while using the described logic) would blame gravity for the person's death, not holding you responsible at all for not helping. You could have saved the person's life, you had all the power to do it—in fact it would have taken a few moments of your time.
This of course is an argument that has been beaten to death. The point here is that the people that are unable to take responsibility for their actions are not as bound to the consequences of such behavior. This makes them less able to avoid/change bad habits: this is because if they do something bad, they have the ability to pretend that an imaginary enemy is responsible. Now the rational do not buy such nonsense, but unfortunately the rational are also the minority.
This video has a mother claiming demons were why she murdered her children:
Another point I would like to raise is how come a nonbeliever will go to hell—but if a person is influenced to do something nasty (like putting their baby into a microwave) and blames Satan—responsibility is transferred to an invisible super-villain. If this was not the case then Christians would outright disallow people from using Satan as a scapegoat for bad behavior.

The Clock (poem)
the clock
built with precision
guided by time
stopping one day
stuck on an hour
with minutes passing by
pausing a few seconds
realizing
time is out
with all the time in the world
but no clock to tell the time
