Atheism is not a belief to be proven (it is a non-belief, i.e. not a belief at all).
We can't prove that the tooth-fairy doesn't exist. I could argue for the existence of fairies in the exact same way that Shockofgod argues for God's existence. His argument fails, it is only valid in his mind, and in the imagination of those with the same confirmation-bias he has (he gets all excited when he finds information -- albeit poor/false --that confirms his world-view). You cannot prove something doesn't exist within the context of everything (unless everything is known of, which is seemingly impossible).
In Shockofgod's magical universe, EVERYTHING IS EXISTS BECAUSE WE CAN'T PROVE IT DOESN'T (clearly not a good strategy if a person truly wants to understand the universe). Nothing can not exist in his universe—using his logic. If Shockofgod imagines something to exist, it must exist, because you can't prove it doesn't! His childish sense of logic is adorable. He ignores evidence that contradicts biblical claims (so much of it exists), but if evidence that -- at least in his mind -- proved God's existence, he would jump all over it. People like this guy like information only when it is convenient for their world-view; they could have all the evidence in the world in-front of them that disproves the existence of God, and they would be unswayed. The nicest way I could put this is that logic is not a strong force within such people.
Atheism is not making any claims, religions like Christianity are! You cannot prove a non-claim.
