It is a bad metaphor. The point goes over the heads of these guys completely. This is a good reflection of the Atheist vs. Christian debate -- Atheists see the big picture, Christians want to see what they want to see. The sheep metaphor is horrible merely for the fact that it contradicts the concept of free-will (as far as the contextual meaning of the metaphor is concerned). Being a mindless sheep takes very little faith. It is sad that Christians are missing out on what atheists have, which is freewill.
