Teen Sex & Drugs

<rant>

TJ forgets that during that time they did not have The Pill; kids are having more sex now, there are just better ways of preventing pregnancy.

The problem is that our culture and biological hard-wiring are constantly having a tug o' war. While culture tends to get the better of the 'hard-wiring' and forces it to adapt, occasionally the culture can bite off more than it can chew, and humans become stressed out to counter-productive levels. I am not against teenagers acting poorly, it is their nature, our biology hasn't caught up to our fast-evolving-culture. We (as a culture) use things like drugs and sex to emotionally escape the stresses of life, and at the moment we are being stressed to new heights (the brain will do crazy things to protect the ego). Drugs and sex are coping mechanisms for us to momentarily escape the harshness of our environment. While our ancestors may have have been more stressed physically, they were not as stressed emotionally as humans are today. Today we are constantly pressured emotionally... and nearly everyone feels frequently overwhelmed, it is this feeling of being overwhelmed that we humans want to escape. When the brain is able to catch up to our more modern culture, people will feel less overwhelmed; this will cause the amount of unhealthy-sex and drug-use to go down culturally acceptable levels.

There is a reason we have the morality that we do. I like to think that when people become self-descrutive, it is a sign that evolution is still busy plugging away, improving the human species by weeding out the bad genes from the good ones. The human species needs people to be self-destructive when they are unable to cope, this is the force of group selection rearing its head. Humans have a self-destruct button for a reason.

The Separation Of Church And State

I recently read online about a politician that wants to amend the Constitution to remove the 'separation of church and state' (can't recall her name). But it got me thinking—is the law preventing the government from backing a religion all that prevents us from becoming a theocracy (I believe it is)? I all but guarantee an official religion would have been set up by now if the government was legally able to—that should scare the shit out of any sane person.

For example, imagine if during the Bush years that an official religion could have been established? Imagine what would be taught in our schools? It is scary to think what the religious would do to our society if they were legally able to (killing nonbelievers and stoning those that work on the Sabbath would sneak their way in, given enough time). That wall that separates church and state is taken for granted by everyone (even the religious) as the typical American lifestyle directly contradicts 'religious ethics'. Nearly every American is guilty of a biblical capital offense.

On the other hand, what an interesting country it would be. Daily stonings in the center of town, the rape and pillage of Canada (for obvious reasons), the list goes on. The moral of the story here is that religion makes everything worse, but it certainly makes things more interesting.

What do you think?
Would this country be better/worse off?

Boy Survives Decapitation (amazing medical story)

This boy is very fortunate to be alive. Many people on YouTube are saying nonsense like "God bless" or "thank God he is alive" (which is no surprise). Almost dying is hardly a blessing, and if a god was intervening here he should hardly be thanked: he did a shitty job and the kid almost died.

Bill O'Reilly Gets Whoopi Goldberg & Joy Behar to Walk Off The View

It's funny seeing those two bitches on their periods (redundant, I know)  fake being offended. Bill O'Reilly is right, we were attacked by Muslims on 9/11 (sky is blue). Those "women" are PC zombies that do mental gymnastics to avoid offending a group of people—satisfying a faith that all people are the same and should be treated as such, regardless of their actions.

The fact is, we were attacked by Muslims—Muslims who based their courage and hatred on their religious convictions. If we were to ask a 'fanatic' of the Islamic faith how they would describe themselves—they would not use the word 'fanatic'— instead, terms like 'true-Muslim' or 'devout-Muslim' would be used.

Whoopi Goldberg and that other bitch had that all-so-common "I'm holding back an erection" look in their eyes (I mean that metaphorically, I think). They both were certainty holding back smiles (look closely at the video if you didn't notice it). They assume that their position is the open-minded one—patting each other on the back during their whole act—anyone that didn't notice how fake the anger was is blind.

There very well may be Muslims that use the Islamic religion for peaceful purposes. But we also must accept that some Muslims use the religion for destructive purposes. Those that use it for destructive purposes are not twisting the religion anymore than the 'moderates'. In other words, the way in which Islam is interpreted is all based on the disposition of individual.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people, and people killed people on 9/11. People that follow the Christian religion can find many reasons in the Bible to justify violence (they do and have).  But, at the same time to deny that it was Muslims that attacked us on 9/11 is absurd. Why don't we show the same unjustified respect towards Nazis? If being a Nazi was a religious thing (instead of social/political) the way which they are talked about would be much different—why is that?

Preventing Homosexuality?

I disagree with ZOMGitsCriss on many of the points made. She has that zombie-PC mentality that seems to have blinded her to the research she was presenting. First of all, it cannot be denied that hormones play a HUGE factor in behavior and sexual orientation. Being heterosexual should be considered the norm in human psychological/physiological studies, and anything that falls outside of that should be considered abnormal. While sensitivity should be used for those non-heterosexual people (for obvious reasons), the root-causes for why such behavior exists should be researched.

For example, many people in the United States have problems with depression, perhaps they are genetically predisposed to this, but just because they are predisposed to having this psychological issue, does not mean we should just accept things like suicide or other self destructive behaviors as being "normal". Depression is caused by both behavioral and hormonal factors (each influencing the other); the same is the case for homosexuality. While "normal" is, I will admit, relative—we need to strive for the highest level of human well-being (which falls into the objective realm).

Gay people are missing out on a great part of life, there is nothing greater than the love between a man and a woman. Yes, they can experience love, but I do not feel that their 'biological misfiring' is on the same level of that of the norm (for purely biological reasons)—I would love to see studies done on this. There is no greater experience in life than having your own child; while raising anothers' child as your own can come close, I still believe it falls short (again, studies should be done on this). Just because a certain number of people behave a certain way and are capable of forming lobbies, does not mean that it should be considered taboo to view it as being abnormal. Obviously I am not advocating bigotry towards homosexuals, that would be totally unproductive; however, the causes of homosexual behavior should be open for discussion, not stifled because of PC nonsense.

It may even be possible in the future that homosexuals will be able to get certain medications and behavioral therapy to correct their sexuality ('correct' as in  the norm of reproductive functioning). While this should not be mandatory (obviously), research in this field should be done so all people are able to live the life as a heterosexual (allowing them to have a genetically tied family) if they choose to.

The main reason I made this post is because of the annoying PC nature of this girls video. Just because an opinion is viewed being more 'open-minded' does not mean it should be blindly accepted.

Lemoore man gets 16 years for raping another man

lolz @ getting raped over a stolen I-Pod. Some need to learn the hard way (no pun intended) to do the right thing.

Stealing is wrong, and if you steal an I-Pod, THIS GUY WILL FIND YOU! AND HE WILL RAPE YOU!

Pro-Choice = Anti-Human Life (Rant Against Abortions And Birth Control Pills)

Many people do not value human life and senselessly destroy it for selfish reasons. I am obviously referring to women whom have had abortions. As an atheist, I know that my opinion on this subject is a minority. But any true free-thinker does not follow the group. We have been bombarded by liberals to believe that the 'open-minded' stance towards abortion is to be in favor of it. The majority of people in favor of abortions have not given the subject all that much thought—their political leaders support the pro-life position—so they assume they must as well. I cannot speak for all people, but, when I actually contemplate the practice of abortion, along with all the factors, I just do not see how the practice is a good thing.

First of all, the fall-back plan of abortion—in case of accidental pregnancy—makes women behave much more whorish. It is the fear of pregnancy that normally would make women behave more conservatively with sex. I am not trying to claim that abortion is the primary cause of women acting increasingly slutty, but it is certainly a huge factor. Right now there really isn't much of a fear of pregnancy for those women that don't feel they are ready for it. Now that the consequence of the act of sex is removed (or can be with a vacuum), the flood gates have opened up, and has poisoned our culture. Now don't get me wrong, I love to see women in skimpy outfits as much as the next guy, but I also see that this is causing some problems for the general mentality of our culture (and health wise with stds etc.). It has caused our culture to be increasingly materialistic and sex driven; in other words, it has caused our minds to be more focused on physical, material things—the mind can only process so much information at one time, the more time it spends thinking about things like sex, the less for other things.

Now that pregnancy is no longer a fear, sex is a huge industry. The porn industry has exploded alongside the rate of abortions. But obviously abortions are not the only reason for this, "the pill" is as well. While many will disagree with me on many of the arguments I have made thus far, no one can deny that if both abortions and birth-control pills were removed, the sex industry would take a huge hit. I'm not saying that we should act like Amish, or like traditional Muslims, but we also need to realize that there can be problems on the other extreme. We as a culture are in that extreme at the moment, I could point to many problems that has arisen due to our increasing sex drive as a culture.

Think of it this way, a fear of pregnancy is like bars in a prison cell, by removing the bars, the prisoners (prisoners = sex urges) are free to go wherever they wish. It is the fear that that prevents people from acting on the majority of sexual urges (fear of rejection, rape conviction, stds, and pregnancy). Imagine if there was a pill that made it impossible to be convicted of rape (not referring to date-rape drugs). This magical drug made men irresistible to women, all the man would have to do is come within 20 feet of the woman, and she would strip her clothes off...and.. you can guess what happens next.... This pill would essentially remove the fear of rape conviction, and a man could satisfy his sexual drive with as many partners as he wished, wouldn't almost every man want a jar (or two) of these pills? Many people will disagree with me (as I've said before), but it is hard to debate that both abortion and "the pill" are the primary causes behind the rise of the sex industry.

Well, that is enough ranting for me today. If you are a whore (or have one in your family) you probably didn't like this post and will probably be butt-hurt about it. All I can do is hand you a tissue :(

Don't bother pointing out spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors; this post was written quickly and not proof-read. Expect there to be errors and read around them with your virgin eyes!

Christian Cat Is Not A Witch!

Edward Current is an atheist pretending to be a Christian in satire. If you enjoyed this video check out his channel .

Why I Support The Clubbing of Baby Seals. (rant against animal rights and vegetarians).

I am getting sick of all the wining animal-rights people are doing over the clubbing of baby seals. Seals =/= people. The problem with animal-rights people have is that they determine a creatures value based upon how cute it looks. Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder, like color, it has no actual existence. If we were a super intelligent insect species, we would see grass hoppers and ants as being cute. Mammals of course would be viewed as disgusting (or at least as an inferior species).

While many animal rights folk would disagree, intellect is what makes humans great, it is what sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. Humans are better than all other animals because we are vastly superior in this field. There is currently a war between us and all other species for resources, and the more humans that exist on this planet, the more of a struggle there will be for resources. We cannot pretend that non-humans are humans, and deserve equal treatment. If we do, than our civilization will be overrun by animals, and the human race will die off. This may sound insane, but that is what would be our inevitable fate. Imagine a world where rats and cockroaches were as free as humans, and where it were considered murder to kill either? Imagine the disease? Imagine all of the animal predators that would be free to reproduce and attack humans (we can't kill them off, because that would be murder). I want to stress that this is not a straw-man argument. It is the end which animal-rights folk seek to attain. They want animals to have human rights. When they claim that the clubbing of baby seals is murder, then they view the act of killing a seal as being equal to that of killing a human (making their importance equal). But what is it that makes baby seals important in the eyes of animal-rights people? Is it because they are mammals? Well, no. If this were the case then they would be even more pissed off at the killing of mice and rats (many more of them are killed each year). Is it because they are seen my humans as being cute? Yes! Is it because they are relatively intelligent creatures? (when compared to all other animals) Yes!

The point here is that both animal-rights activists, and those who are pro-clubbing of baby seals are on equal grounds here. We both value life based upon our own personal-human-perception of the world. This has nothing to do with open mindedness. In my mind, I view human life as being the ultimate on this planet, all other life is inferior and should not get in the way of human progress.

Animal-rights people of course have not thought this out very much. I find that such people tend to be close-minded and angry. They use projection to imagine a human mind with emotions, pain, pleasure and general experience inside the heads of non-humans. In other-words, they incorrectly view all animals that have similar human qualities (hair, two eyes etc.) as BEING HUMAN. This is a big mistake, and it is just an over-extension (or as Dawkins would say: "a misfiring) of evolutionary hard-wiring. We are hardwired to want to love and protect things which we view as cute; this is because of the nurturing instincts we have towards human-babies. The thing is, open-mindedness does not apply to those that are only acting based upon instinct. Animal-rights people are merely acting upon their own instincts (which are misfiring). I say misfiring because the part of the mind responsible for behaving in such ways is only intended for humans.

Another 'misfiring' is our hard-wiring against cannibalism. Animal rights people perceive certain animals (cows, seals, etc.) subconsciously, or perhaps even consciously, as being human. This is why they find it disgusting to think about eating meat. We view the eating of human meat disgusting (well most people do). Here again, vegetarians mind-fuck (pardon my french) themselves into thinking that all meat = human meat. This causes that part of the brain that is revolted against eating human meat to be triggered. This is not open-mindedness, but delusional paranoia.

My final point here is that vegetarians (much overlap with the animal-rights crowd) refuse to eat meat, but they have no problem eating plants. They will claim "well, plants don't feel pain". But this is not the real answer, because even if the animal was given pain killers so that it felt no pain—they would still not eat it. The pain thing is just an excuse, it is the fact that these forms of life are more human-like than plants are. So it is not that they are against killing life in order to live, but that they don't want life that appears to be human-like to be killed. The difference here between vegetarians and those that eat meat is that we know that other animals are not humans, and act normally—vegetarians are fooled into thinking that all human-like animals are human, and they of course don't want to cannibalize.

My main point here is that if we stop clubbing baby seals, then we must stop killing all other forms of life on this planet, otherwise we would be hypocrites in valuing one form of non-human life as being higher than another.

Well, I'm going to go make me some eggs and sausage now. Enjoy your carrots you wimpy pricks.

P.S. If you try to point out any grammatical/punctuation mistakes, keep in mind that I didn't proof read this, so there probably are many (so you get no cookies or pats on the back). In other words, doing this shows butt-hurt feelings and an inability to refute any of the points made.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by :)

I don't really support the clubbing of baby seals, I think it is sad and a brutal practice. I just like to pick on animal-rights people, it's funny to watch them get all emotional.

Top 25 Creationist Fallacies (all creationists much watch this)

Argument from ignorance is the most often used (at least from what I've seen).

What Every Creationist Must DENY

This is why creationists hate science in general, especially biology. If you watch a creationist debate an evolutionists, you will quickly see that the creationist has little or no knowledge about evolutionary theory. This is intentional, like the saying goes: "ignorance is bliss". Creationists would rather stay blissfully ignorant than to understand the science that crushes their fairytales.

Disproving Evolution is easy ?

This is hilarious; creationists really do use these arguments. This video is satire btw (I need to point this out for the "special" people).

Science is Inferior To The Bible? (Proof Inside)

I never knew bats were birds, maybe science is wrong about everything. I mean, if the bible was written by the creator of the universe, then he would know, right?

Should all Atheists die??

The bible quote is NOT out of context. If you don't believe me, watch my video about quotes "out of context".

Well, according to the "good book", all nonbelievers are suppose to be killed. It sends a shiver down the spine knowing the majority of the United States believe scripture is "God's will". Hopefully none of them start reading....

Gladwell on Income Inequality: We're Off the Rails

Two million dollars would be a good wealth cap, anything more is obscene. At the moment the gap between the rich and the poor is becoming so large that we as a society are begging for another great depression. If we had a wealth cap of 2 million dollars today, our economy would be much more stable, and the standard of living for the majority would be greatly improved. The wealthy seem to believe they earned every cent they have; but in fact it was other people that also earned that money. The wealthy are in a better position to exploit the efforts of the masses.

Jon Stewart Mocks Obama's Mosque Stance: "Yes We Can, But Should We?"

Jon Stewart was unfair to Obama here. All Obama said was that he would not comment either way on whether it was wise to build a mosque on Ground Zero. And as president he should not comment on whether it should be built or not, being that it is not his place to deal with a private matter like the building of this building.

Ground Zero "Mosque" Debate Intensifies

I disagree, I think that the Ground Zero Mosque is hate speech based on the motivations of those behind it. That, and, those behind the Mosque can see how this building is upsetting people, yet they want to build it anyways.

The Real Stephen Colbert (Out of Character)

Great seeing him out of character, he seems like a really nice guy, and very talented and intelligent to boot.

Colbert 2016!
Imagine him at a political debate? yikes

O'Reilly Debates The Benefits Of Intoxication On Humans

I dislike how they just say "drugs", without being specific. O'Reilly won this debate only because the other guy didn't provide any great points for why 'intoxication' is a good thing for humans. Humans, I feel, seek after "drugs" for a few reasons...

1). curiosity
2). need a break from stress
3). enjoy feelings of euphoria
4). improving the self (mind and/or body)
5). improved self-reflection
6). change of perspective to gain out-of-the-box knowledge.

I believe that drugs are a problem for society (at least for the moment). The drugs that people use oftentimes are very dangerous. What we should be doing now is researching why certain drugs have certain effects on the mind, and why people find those effects desirable. If this could be heavily studied, perhaps less dangerous mind-altering chemicals could be put out that wouldn't cause problems like the majority do.

There is something very important to mind-altering drugs, they should not all be lumped into one group as being bad for you—but at the same time they should be properly respected.

The mind is a very very important thing for humans, and stressing it out with all the nonsense our society places on it is not healthy for it either (watching FOX "New" probably is more damaging for the mind that weed is).

We put crap into our bodies all the time—like when we eat processed foods/fast foods—many of these are just as unhealthy as many of the drugs being referred to in this interview.

Bill O'Reilly Discusses Lesbian Teens

I think this is hilarious. Bill makes some valid points, homosexuality is not the norm, if it was than the majority of humans would be homosexuals. While I do support gay marriage and equal rights for homosexuals, I do think that kids should not have unnatural thoughts enter their minds. There is no doubt that homosexuality has increased over time; can certain external factors change the potential biological make up of a human? Perhaps. In other words, can things like culture, diet, thought patterns, etc. change a persons sexuality? I believe that it is possible, and that some research should be done on the subject.

Marylin Manson on the O'Reilly Factor

Marylin Manson is one strange guy. While many will disagree with me, I feel that music like Marylin Manson's does harm certain kids. I feel that when kids violent/angry music it can turn them into violent and angry people. There is no doubt that music can affect a person's mood, and listening to music like this for a long period of time must have some psychological effects.

Stephen Colbert on The O'Reilly Factor

Most people have probably seen this already, but if you haven't, it is hilarious. This just goes to show how much more intelligent Stephen Colbert is than O'Reilly, he was doing circles around him.

Bill Maher vs Bill O'Reilly Conservative Party Strengths

Great seeing these two men debate each other. While this interview is old, it shows how things haven't really changed a bit since then. Same story, different time.

Bill Maher & Dennis Miller on Free Speech vs Political Correctness (2002)

I hate political correctness, people need to grow some f'king balls and stand up for free-speech. Political correctness is the enemy of free speech. Things like profiling can be very useful in certain situations. Let people speak their minds; regardless of what a persons opinion is, they should be able to express themselves (sticks and stones). As a people, we are too sensitive, this isn't kindergarten anymore, we should be allowed to insult people we don't like (even if it hurts their feelings).

Bill Maher & Ann Coulter debate over the Supreme Court and other issues

I hate Ann Coulter with every fiber of my being. If evil exist in this world she is what it looks like. If I was a Republican I would not want that snake to represent me on television. She makes all Republicans look like stupid, self-righteous, bigots (which they may or may not be).

Atheists Hitchens & Dawkins Expose Mormon Religion

Thank God for men like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens (kidding about the 'God' part obviously). Must be uncomfortable being religious and listening to either of them speak on the subject.

Mormonism is a very strange religion indeed. Its followers however do seem much more devout and kinder to their fellow man (regardless of their beliefs). I hate to say it, but even though Mormonism's falsity is more easily proven, they are much more Christ-like than other Christians.

Atheist Bill Maher - "All Religions Are Crazy"

I have to agree with Bill: all religions are crazy. Not to say that all the followers are crazy, but the writers certainly were to some extent; I mean, burning bushes and talking snakes?

Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, Rory Bremner on Satire

Clips of Interviews from the BBC4 show 'Frost on Satire'

The people that don't enjoy satire (*cough* certain Muslims) have a poor sense of humor.

Jon Stewart Does Stand-Up On Religion

Jon Stewart seems to be a Deist-Jew. I think it's great how he doesn't take religion all that seriously like many do...

The Evolution Of Morality

 ---------------------
Just a response to the common religious question to atheists...where does right and wrong come from? This is both an evolutionary and personal response. The bottom line, you don't need god to be good!!! Find more on my blog at http://theatheisthandbook.blogspot.com/
----------------------

Being that morality is hard-wired into us—if this awareness was existent within our population—many more would see just how worthless religious belief is (the religious believe that morality comes from "holy scripture". Religion is only useful for those that wouldn't ordinarily act morally. It fears them into acting good, like a bad child around Christmas.

Where does morality come from? (An atheist perspective).

 ----------------
This is one of the theories currently out there, although not all atheists will agree with it.

-------------

This is a very simple concept, most people should be able to grasp this easily, but are unwilling to even try. The religious always claim "if we don't have religion, where do we get morality?". Which is why they should understand that morality is an innate quality in most humans (some need to be bribed perhaps). The fact that Christians, for example, are able to cherry-pick the nice verses, reflects that the moral-hard-wiring already exists within their brains.

Science Is The Dumbest Religion! (Atheist Satire)

Edward Current is an atheist that pretends to be a Christian in satire. If you enjoyed this video check out his channel. He makes a great point in this video in that many religious people fail to see how science is not a religion or a belief system.

Science vs. Religion: the inevitable battle? Examining the conflict thesis

It's more like religion will always be in conflict with reality. This video is wrong in saying that religion "tells us why"...science does a much better job of telling us why we are here, and what part we play in this universe. Religions only purpose is to exploit the ignorance of the masses.

What is Christianity? A Visual Explanation Of Jesus Christ and The Religion

Doesn't this sound ridiculous? Must take a lot of faith to believe this is real (perhaps 'faith' isn't the right word). It's easy to be an atheist—unlike Christianity, it doesn't take an incredible imagination, just a rational mind.

Ellen Degeneres Vs. John McCain on Gay Marriage

John McCain, opposed to gay marriage, gets questioned by Ellen Degeneres. There are a few moments where his face looks truly pissed. Aired on May 22, 2008. DISCLAIMER: I do not own this video and my purpose in uploading it is to promote The Ellen Degeneres Show. Free promotion and publicity is a good thing!

I think that John McCain only opposes gay marriage for political reasons. People seem to base this mentality on religious views more than anything, but being that this country is not a theocracy, people should not be able to impose their beliefs on others.

lesbian Ellen Degeneres responds to Sarah Palin anti-gay marriage view

Sarah Palin is like the complete opposite of what I consider to be a good person (being open-minded, empathetic, and valuing intelligence). If you look at her kids you can see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Sarah Palin stupidity highlight reel!

I can't believe this dumb ass is still politically relevant. She can't win in 2010, I would rather see a gold fish as president...yikes...

Palin Ignorant About Scientific Research

October 24, 2008 on Countdown with Keith Olbermann

MSNBC political analyst Richard Wolfe said Palin's statement about fruit flies "is the most mindless, ignorant, uninformed, comment that we have seen from Governor Palin so far and there's been a lot of competition for that prize."

Palin is such a tard. This idiot can not be allowed into the white house. She is probably going to run as a 2012 presidential candidate, if she wins, I'm going to seriously think moving to Canada. Palin's beliefs are what make her hostile to science, we cannot have a leader that is hostile to science and expect it to go well.

Atheist Hitchens Slams Palin on Larry King Live - Oct 24

I remember during my Sunday school days (when I was 7 years old or so) the teacher told us students that if we ever see a snake, we should kill it. He told us that snakes were evil creatures—isn't that kind of f'ed up to be telling a child? Shouldn't that be considered child abuse? That is the kind of stuff that breeds paranoid delusional people—teaching them to fear the world and death itself.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens Attacks Religion

Description:
by 43Alley.

This is the brilliant opening statement that Christopher Hitchens gave in a religion vs. atheism debate with Alister McGrath on October 11, 2007.

Instead of simply watching Hitchens at the podium, here the speech's audio is overlayed with illustations to try to do justice to the logic of this very compelling argument.

(Part 1)

(Part 2)

For those that don't know, Christopher Hitchens is currently battling cancer. Hopefully he pulls through.

An Atheist's Story Of Giving Up Religion

I think that many atheists have similar stories. Some people have that nagging skepticism and some people don't.

Cynthia Nixon: Gays Don't Want to Redefine Marriage

Same-sex marriage doesn't redefine marriage. It's like the people against it believe that if it passes they wont be able to hold back those inner-gay-demons any longer! If gay people want to get married, it harms no one. The main reason that people are against it in this country is because of their "Christian values". Racist can still hate black people, even though slavery isn't around anymore. So religious-bigots can still hate gay people, even if they can marry. I'm sure they're out there, but I have yet to see an atheist that is against gay marriage.

Why religion tears people down - The Atheist Experience #640

Religion is just a reflection of human nature. Like when they say guns don't kill people, people kill people. We can blame religion all day long until the cows come home, but the people are the ones that perpetuate such ideas, and are responsible for their own impact on the world. Individual religions are not the problem, human nature is the problem. If all religions were removed from this planet, new ones would quickly fill the void.

Not accepting evolution is dangerous? - The Atheist Experience #644

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at a non-atheist audience. It is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin. The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

http://www.atheist-experience.com
http://www.atheist-community.org

Not accepting evolution is a symptom of a greater problem. There are people who accept evolution, but still are dangerous to society. In other words, those people that want to believe that a god made them with magic are probably not more dangerous because of this. Science and religion are apples and oranges, and being ignorant probably does not make you more dangerous. I could be wrong however.

Dawahfilms seems to love to fantasize about dishing out "Islamic Justice" (yes, it is an oxymoron). Cry and you cry alone.

The Bible and Health (are atheists unhealthy?)

Is it always God's will to heal us? The Bible has a lot to say about the subject of health. On this DVD, Dr. Hovind interviews health experts who share some simple nutritional facts and Scriptural principles to improve our health.

Well that explains my back problems, God is pissed-off because I don't believe he is real. Even though Kent Hovind is still  in prison for tax fraud, I'm sure Bubba is keeping him honest. Were most of those 30 years he spent 'researching' spent listening to Christians speaking in tongues? Probably....does it matter? Not really. This is because evolution is a lie and Kent Hovind is the smartest guy on earth. All the real experts need more faith in Jesus Christ.

The Tree Penis Specialist !!!

This is why I hate tree huggers. Like most tree-huggers, this guy is a pot-head—think that goes without saying (because he has a pot on his head). Mr. Pregnant has been sexually assaulting trees for years; so if you love your trees, then cover up their penises, and keep this creepy f**ker off yo lawns!

Glenn Beck Attacks Atheists and Interviews James Dobson on School Prayer

Hm, I didn't know atheists worshipped brooms...I guess I'm doing it wrong. Both of these men had shit-eating grins on their face when talking with each other. Both were obviously holding back erections of self-righteousness.

To address their "point" about our rights coming from God, if this were truly the case than this country is a few hairs away from being a theocracy.

Also, the short discussion about how porn makes people violent is bullshit. For proof I present all of the sexually frustrated suicide bombers who died for 72 virgins (porn maybe would have allowed them to wait longer). Suicide is the easy way out, don't do it!...

Fox News Interviews Atheist Brian Flemming

This is hilarious. The FOX "News" zombie looks very uncomfortable when talking with a person that doesn't believe in his fairy-tales. What's even funnier is that they dressed him up in a suit and tie (I say 'them' because I have a hard time believing someone like him can even dress himself).

CNN - Buddhism vs. Christianity

CNN's Rick Sanchez discusses the differences between the two faiths with a Buddhist scholar.
It's funny how Rick Sanchez ends up getting kicked off CNN for talking about the Jews running the media and calling John Stewart a bigot. Irony at its finest?

Buddhism isn't really a faith; it should be considered more of a philosophy (in my opinion). Buddhists don't worship anything, or need faith. In fact, many Buddhists consider themselves to be atheist.

Did Jesus Christ learn Buddhism ??

Did Jesus learn what he knew from India ? Where was Jesus and what was he doing from ages 12-30? What happened to him after Crucifixion? Why does the Bible leave out this important information?

Oh Snap! So that means Christianity is only a Jewish off-spin of Buddhism. This actually makes a lot of sense, both Jesus and The Buddha had very simmilar teachings (of course The Buddha lived much earlier than Jesus).

Einstein on God (was Einstsein an atheist?)

It seems to me that Einstein was a nonbeliever that didn't want to offend believers. He, by today's standards, would have been considered an agnostic. He seems to have used God as a metaphor for the unknown.

Do Catholics really still believe in demons? What a magical world some of us live in..

Could a Neanderthal Woman Beat a Champion Arm Wrestler?

Video Description:

Complete video at: http://fora.tv/2010/08/12/Peter_McAll...

Peter McAllister, author of Manthropology, compares the muscular size and strength of modern-day humans with that of Neanderthals. By examining fossil records, he has determined that a Neanderthal woman could exert more force than champion arm wrestler Alexey Voevoda.

-----

Could your husband, brother or father be the worst man in history? University of Queensland-trained anthropologist Peter McAllister claims today's man isn't a patch on what he once was: that despite his huge brain, the modern bloke fails to measure up physically, creatively and emotionally with men of the distant past.

Join the author of Manthropology: The Science of the Inadequate Modern Male for some lively debate and discover why ancient men were smarter and stronger, and what the future holds for this once-mighty gender.

The event is presented by the Adelaide-based RiAUS (The Royal Institution of Australia) as part of National Science Week. The moderator is radio broadcaster Amanda Blair. - Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Peter McAllister is a science writer and archaeologist from Western Australia. His main research interest is paleoanthropology, and he writes funny and informed science books about what evolution can teach us about the human condition. His popular science book, Manthropology, is currently under development as a documentary series.

McAllister also writes prize-winning sci-fi thrillers like his novel Cosmonaut, which was developed for a major motion picture by Warner Brothers and Village Roadshow. Outside his work as a scientist and writer, McAllister has held jobs as: a journalist, a graphic artist, an advertising salesman for a country music radio station, and once (nearly) as a Chinese-speaking football commentator.

Scary! But, I bet they could make one hell of a sandwich.

Smoking Gun Proof There is an Atheist Media Bias???

I suppose reality has an atheistic bias. Maybe the news should report more on virgin births and burning bushes? Poor butt-hurt Christians. Your religion is dying....praying for rain? lol....that is proof of God because it happened to rain that day? Give me a f**king break...

The news is suppose to be centered on reporting the facts—atheism and facts tend to go hand-in-hand. In other words, atheistic views are based on facts and reason; Christianity is not, it is based on faith in talking snakes and virgin births. Maybe these two numb-skulls should find a new job (reporting facts is too hard if you refuse to believe in them).

Atheism Undermines Science?

Dr. William Lane Craig explains that current and mainstream cosmology and science is comfortable and consistent with Christianity.

This guy is a little slow. First off, the big bang is the start of the universe as we know it, not the start of energy itself (energy cannot be created or destroyed). I personally, as an atheist, do not believe that the universe came from nothing—so this guy is wrong in lumping all atheists into that belief-set. The energy of the universe is supposedly distributed in such a way because of The Big Bang. In other words, The Big Bang is not an explanation for energy itself (which should be mind-numbingly obvious).

Just because our science is ignorant to the time before the big bang does not imply that NOTHING existed before it, and that we need some intelligent creator to cause such a reaction.

When a volcano erupts, do we need to believe that a 'volcano god' is responsible? Well, no. Why? Because we understand the forces behind volcano eruptions. The problem here is not nothingness, but a lack of scientific understanding. I like to think of the Big-Bang as a cosmic eruption, not from nothing, but from an unknown. The people that believe that a god is needed to make Big Bangs occur are as ridiculous as cavemen believing in a rain gods.

Religious Demotivation Video

In the video description the maker of this video says atheism is "stupid". I suppose belief in an intelligent creator that made the entire universe, but cannot be proven to even exist is "smart"...that makes sense. At least the video was entertaining.

Know the Difference: Evolution vs. Intelligent Design

Intelligent Design is a horrible explanation for the complexity of life. The driving-force behind Intelligent Design is the ignorance of religious men, the driving force behind Evolutionary Theory is science. God hides in human ignorance, once we understand how life started, he will have one less hiding place. If intelligence is behind the origin of life, I believe it is much more likely that cosmic gnome engineers did it.

Christianity to Atheism in less than 5 minutes

Great points made in this video, especially his argument against 'Christian-intelligent design' (what a contradiction).

Can God bake a chicken-wing so hot that even he can't eat it? Either way he wouldn't be able to do something, thus proving it is impossible to be all-powerful!

The only reason people still believe in a god is that they haven't given the concept enough thought. Believers should ask themselves why they believe what they do—other than because they blindly believe what their parents believe. All ideas should be open for thoughtful discussion.

Druids Recognized As Religion in UK

Think I'm going to declare my house (and the property on it) a druid church. Would be awesome when someone asks you what religion you are, and you are able to respond "oh, I'm a f@cking druid!". All atheists should pretend to belong to some obscure religion—that would make Christians squirm even more.

Atheist Christopher Hitchens - We shouldn't fear death

Hitchens is great as always. The best way to live life is without the fear of death. Religion loves to exploit the innate fear of death for their own ends. Religion thrives off this fear. If all humans were immortal, none would be religious, and living on earth would be heavenly.

Richard Dawkins and Daniel Dennet Discuss the Meaning of Life and Death (atheist pov)

This topic of discussion is much more interesting when religion isn't involved.

Mike Huckabee Responds To Evolution Question

In the third debate hosted by CNN, Mike Huckabee responded with great eloquence about his stand on creation, evolution, and God's role in that process.

Visit Mike Huckabee's web site at
http://www.MikeHuckabee.com

Mike Huckabee is someone who seems to respect people of all races, creeds, religions, etc. This answer shows HIS view on the origin of life - this is something completely irrelevant to the Presidency, so the question seems to be very disingenuous. Saying things like "It shows how rational he is" is unwise, because rationality is based on how one reacts and makes decision by the stimulus of REAL LIFE happening now, not on if one believes that God created everything.
Anyone that doesn't understand the concept of evolution (like referring to it as being an accident) is not fit to be president. Political discussion should be atheistic (in that it should not involve God at all).

Atheist Richard Dawkins says he won't debate William Lane Craig

Atheist Daniel Dennett on William Lane Craig

Daniel Dennett is great. Philosophy when it is not biased towards superstitious nonsense is the only kind worthy to speak about; otherwise you might as well smash your head repeatedly against a bible.

❤ Who Designed the Designer??? ❤

Video Description — If you told me that scientists had discovered a pile of technologically advanced equipment on the moon, and that they had therefore concluded that the equipment must have been designed by an intelligent designer, wouldn't that be a scientifically valid conclusion for you to present to me, given the circumstances?

If I were to counter with the statement, "Well, your claim that the equipment was designed brings up the question of who designed the designer, and therefore, there could not have been a designer for that technologically advanced equipment at all," would that be a logically coherent statement for me to make?

Dawkins has made that statement is response to the Science of Intelligent Design, and he has stated that it is the "central argument" of his silly little book.

He stated that because positing a designer brings up the question "Who designed the designer?" then the position that there is an intelligent designer must necessarily be untrue.

Dr. William Lane Craig points out the multiple levels of idiocy in Dawkins' delusional "central argument" against God's factual appearance and activities.

Although it's clear that there is no intelligence in Dawkins' assessment of the origin of the cosmos, his attempt to extrapolate his own personal lack of intelligence onto the designer of the cosmos has failed miserably.

As always, my channel is a stronghold of free speech -- anyone and everyone may post comments freely on all of the videos on my channel.

This guy is not making any sense, his word are not based on anything more than his own personal (and delusional) bias. If I posed the argument that the universe was created by 1,000s of gnome engineers—I could use the same argument that he uses (thousands of cosmic gnomes replacing God) and be just as intellectually honest. The point Dawkins makes is a great one, it shows that God is no real explanation for the universe.

This is why I dislike philosophy, it typically provides no real answers. Philosophers normally just screw with wordplay to pretend to know more than can be known.

When this guy is speaking he has that "I'm holding back an erection" look about him; you know.. that glazed look a person gets in their eyes when they are stroking their own ego. He provided nothing to the argument, and no actual argument against Richard Dawkins' argument (see any parallels?).
We as humans cannot know of the objective, as we are stuck viewing the world through the lens of subjectivity. Our subjective experience of this world is 'based on a true story', the truth we will never see.

Atheist Hitchens debates William Lane Craig On Whether God Exists

Video Description — Atheist Christopher Hitchens gets beaten up in a debate, against the Christian Philosopher William Lane Craig.
I fail to see how Chris got 'beaten up' in this debate. In fact, philosophy is the religion of the intellectual (which is seems to be an oxymoron). Philosophers only play around with words, and often times are incapable of truly thinking outside of the box. Essentially the burden of proof on the 'god' issue is on those whom make the claim; William Lane Craig does not seem to understand this concept. Philosophers like to stroke their own egos by pretending they are all-knowing masters of the universe. When questions of the universe come up, ask a physicist, not a philosopher—otherwise you will just get word-play and bullshit.

Vegetarians are Delusional and Close-minded!

I recently got into a debate with this vegetarian/animal rights person. It occurred to me that vegetarianism in general is very similar to religious belief. Now I cannot speak for all of whom do not eat meat, but you know who are you are! If you don't know, then check to see if you are the following:

1). if you witness a person step on an insect you break down in tears
2). you have t-shirts opposing the clubbing of baby seals
3). you have a constant need to tell normal people that eating meat is immoral
4). you value the life of an animal higher than that of a human
5). your eyes water up at the sight of freshly slain wild-life (e.g., deer, turkey, pheasant, moose, elk, and bears)
6). you refuse to use mouse-traps and think of mice as being part of your family

Those are just a few examples of the actions committed by those whom are being refereed to in this blog post.

Many of these people make the claim that animals feel just as much pain as we do. While animals do feel pain, we have no way of knowing the amount of pain experienced—and it would vary from case to case and from one particular animal versus another. Hell, even the amount of pain people feel vary between individuals (but that is neither here nor there). The point here is that there is no way of knowing the amount of pain an actual animal experiences when it is harvested for its resources. Pain itself cannot be experienced objectively, and no human knows what it is like to be a chicken. Sure, being killed as a chicken perhaps may cause some pain, but, considering the size of the chicken's brain, we cannot expect the experience to be like that of a human. But, the thing is, these people don't actually care about suffering as much as they care about complaining. If they really were concerned about stopping suffering they would spend an equal amount of time complaining about genocides in Africa, for example. There is more than enough pain and misery within the human race to keep these pessimistic noisy individuals feeling depressed. So why don't they focus on that? Well, because they hate themselves, and the human race in general.

Vegetarians often suffer from mental problems like depression and anxiety (I know this from personal observation), and I also believe that mental illness is linked to this sort of behavior. In fact, I will take it even a step further and claim that the thoughts and avoidance of meat borders on an OCD. This post is just a general one regarding this abnormal behavior, I will be addressing more of the 'mental illness' aspects of it down the road. For any of you that were butt-hurt by this post, here is a tissue.

Why Atheism? Why are people becoming more Atheist? Spiritual

Spirituality: Why are people becoming more Atheist?

Why are people becoming more atheistic these days?

We have more atheists today because people are tired of religion, which teaches fear. It is taught that we must fear God. But this God does not exist. The God of the Jews is vengeful, the God of Christians is compassionate, Islamic God is a warrior and Hindu God rewards and punishes. Organized religions are like a cult and people are tired of them. Whatever is being preached there is no evidence of God. Yes, there is a God, which is a kind of light that is shared by all living beings from bacteria to humans. That light is you and you exist.

People are becoming atheist because they are more curious about the existence of God. The atheist might find God because he is searching. Even if they don't find God they find themselves. Atheists are real seekers and I bless them.
Haha, I love this guy. He makes some good points—atheists are at least looking for real answers instead of being feared into obeying an imaginary being.

Richard Dawkins is a British ethologist, evolutionary biologist and popular science author. He was formerly Professor for Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. He was voted Britain's leading public intellectual by readers of Prospect magazine and was named one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People" for 2007.

Dawkins came to prominence with his 1976 book "The Selfish Gene", which popularised the gene-centred view of evolution and introduced the term "meme". He is a prominent critic of creationism and intelligent design. In his 1986 book "The Blind Watchmaker", he argued against the watchmaker analogy, an argument for the existence of a supernatural creator based upon the complexity of living organisms. Instead, he described evolutionary processes as analogous to a blind watchmaker. He has since written several popular science books, and makes regular television and radio appearances, predominantly discussing these topics.

Richard Dawkins is an atheist, secular humanist, sceptic, scientific rationalist, and supporter of the Brights movement. In his 2006 book "The God Delusion", he contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that faith qualifies as a delusion − as a fixed false belief.

It seems odd to me as an atheist that Christians don't seem to think about what this 'god' actually is. Logically it makes so little sense; I can't fathom how anyone could mindlessly believe in it (maybe I just answered my own question).

God be less.
